A few passengers say they were trapped inside a Waymo driverless taxi in Austin. One said, "Cars kept honking at us, and it would not move. It would not let us out." And it only did after they threatened to go live on TikTok?
The group was stuck in the car for 5 minutes and 11 seconds, Navarro said. Growing impatient, they requested to be let out of the car to walk the rest of the way to their destination instead. The representative insisted he needed a specific address before unlocking the vehicle, despite the group telling him they had provided their location multiple times.
Navarro claimed it wasn't until she threatened to go live on TikTok to document the situation that the car suddenly unlocked. As they walked away, the car remained in the same spot. At a further distance, the car suddenly roared back to life and drove past them. "Now it wants to go," Navarro said.
The one thing that I'm taking away from this is that....you can be locked in a self driving car and have no way out. Um...No Thank You!

An Australian woman got a Guinness World Record for her collection of 1,035 Minions, the yellow characters from "Despicable Me".
She started 15 years ago and has everything from clothing, movie posters, stuffies, keyrings, figurines, and even a tattoo.
“I will never stop buying Minions to bring home to join my Minion family,” she said. “My daughter thinks I have enough but I love them more than ever.”

An expert says your toddler should only have four toys.
“We keep bringing home more and more toys, thinking this is the toy that will get my kid into Harvard,” Metz tells TODAY.com. “But then we don’t see the value in their playing because they can’t organize themselves enough to play.”
Kids in her research groups took an inventory of the 16 toys placed in the room. They picked them up and put them down in rapid succession during a standardized amount of time, almost as if they had shiny object syndrome.
“That exploration is so fast-paced that they don’t have time to sit and explore all the things a toy can do before they need to move on to the next one,” Metz says.
But when toddlers entered a room with just four toys present, “they went and they looked at them all, but then they had time to go back to each toy. They sat down and they played with it for twice as long, and they did many more things with it,” explains Metz, mentioning that kids would press all the buttons, stack the pieces or start playing pretend.

Don't procrastinate when it comes to your health. Nine in 10 Americans have put off health checkups and screenings that could help save their life.
Gen Z experiences negative feelings of personal embarrassment and distrust or dislike for doctors (32%).
Embarrassment and fear of bad news prevents nearly 1 in 4 young women, particularly Gen Z, from getting screenings on time.
Nearly half (48%) of Americans face logistical barriers such as conflicts with work hours and challenges taking time off work for appointments.
Nearly 40% of Americans have canceled or not scheduled a doctor's appointment because the wait time was too long.
The worst part is we know we should be doing preventive care or a wellness visit, but 65% wait till a health scare to make an appointment.

If you're sensitive to pollen, you might notice that your allergies are particularly bad right now. You're not alone, medical experts say.
There are three periods every year when different types of pollen reach their peak. The spring (roughly March through May or June) is dominated by tree pollen, late spring and summer (May to July) features grass pollen and late summer and fall (August to October or November) brings weed pollens.
Pollen is highest on days that are warm, dry and windy
"Don't confuse allergies with colds, the flu or COVID," Wada warns. She notes that while some symptoms, such as runny nose, cough and fatigue, can overlap, "allergies typically don't cause fevers and often involve significant itching" of the eyes and/or nose.
Check the daily counts, and then if you can, stay inside with your HEPA filters.
Saline nasal rinses can help and of course antihistamines (get the non drowsy kind)
Also you might want to check with an allergist to find out exactly what you are allergic to. You might actually be surprised.

Could your shopping receipt be the next serious health risk?
Maybe. Health researchers say that thermal paper receipts often have high levels of a "forever chemical" called Bisphenol S, or "BPS." It's similar to BPA, which is in plastics.
it, "mimics estrogen and can throw off the normal functioning of the body . . . including metabolism, growth and development, and reproduction."
(also..note, thermal paper receipts are not recyclable - WHAT?)
It's still early in the studies, but some experts are sayingif you're an employee who handles receipts, they suggest using gloves.
They're also telling consumers to decline paper receipts whenever possible.

Proving you're never too old to do something -
An elderly woman in Oklahoma has dedicated herself to re-starting the piano lessons she abandoned as a kid. She's over 80 years old, and says, "I think that an outlet outside of your house is good for you . . .
"It's good for your mental state, and your physical state. When your brain is stimulated, it's going to help your body too."

National Crayola Day
What were the original eight (8) colors in the 1903 box of Crayola Crayons?
Recognizing a need in schools for safe and affordable wax crayons, Binney & Smith created the first box of eight Crayola Crayons in 1903.
Sold for a nickel, this box included red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet, brown, and black.
The Crayola name was coined by Alice Binney, wife of company founder Edwin Binney and a former schoolteacher. It combines the French word for "chalk" ("craie") with "ola," meaning "oily."
By the way, the pack of 64 with the built in sharpener came along in 1958.
