People who said they followed a low-carb, high-protein diet, such as the ketogenic or "keto" diet, were more likely to have higher levels of LDL cholesterol (aka "bad" cholesterol) and have a higher risk of heart attacks, according to a new study from the American College of Cardiology. The study's lead author said people on a keto diet should have their cholesterol levels monitored.

Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups are getting the vegan treatment.

The Hershey Co. said Tuesday that Reese’s Plant Based Peanut Butter Cups, which go on sale this month, will be its first vegan chocolates sold nationally. A second plant-based offering, Hershey’s Plant Based Extra Creamy with Almonds and Sea Salt, will follow in April.

The chocolates are made with oats instead of milk, Hershey said.

(isn't chocolate just a plant to begin with?)

Younger consumers, in particular, are looking to reduce consumption of animal-based products, says Euromonitor, a market research firm. In a 2021 survey, Euromonitor found that 54% of Generation Z consumers were restricting animal-based products from their diets, compared to 34% of Baby Boomers.

And ditching the dairy won’t cut calories. While Hershey didn’t release all of the nutritional facts, the 1.4-ounce package of plant-based Reese’s Cups have 210 calories; that’s the same number of calories as a 1.5-ounce package of traditional Reese’s Cups.

Jamie Lee Curtis still likes to rock. But she's also 64 years old. So she'd like bands to do more MATINEE concerts, so she can get to bed early.

She told "Hollywood Reporter" on the red carpet at the Film Independent Spirit Awards, quote, "I am gonna just say this now as a taunt and as a suggestion. U2: do a matinee. What about a 12 noon concert, Coldplay? . . .

"Bruce Springsteen: do [an effing] matinee! You're old! Why wouldn't you let me come see you in your glory days, pun intended . . . I will come and hear your five-hour concert at 2 o'clock, and I'm gonna be home and in bed by 7:30."

Recently we heard about her early bedtime as she declined an Oscar Dinner Invite that was past her bed time. "There is nothing good happening with me after 9 p.m."

Nick Cannon has fathered 12 children with six different women.

At this point he's basically known primarily for knocking women up. They even make fun of it lately on The Masked Singer. But he's never tried to monetize his procreation.

Until now.

Nick is launching a game show to find his next baby mama. It's called "Who's Having My Baby", and it's coming to E! this spring. And get this: It's hosted by Kevin Hart.

I find this hard to believe..but ok.

Here's a weird fact you never wanted to know: Every animal that weighs more than 6.6 pounds empties their bladder in 21 seconds. Animals with bigger bladders have stronger streams. Smaller bladders have weaker streams.

It can actually help YOU be healthier. So time yourself.

If it takes you less time than that, you went to the bathroom too soon. If it takes you more time, you went to the bathroom too late.

Either way, you're doing a disservice to your bladder and training it wrong . . . which can lead to overactive bladder issues as you get older.

There's more. If you feel like you have to pee all the time but you're not around that 21-second mark, it could be a sign of things like bladder stones, cystitis, or prostate issues . . . and it's worth talking to your doctor.

A new study out of China says that you can lose weight . . . just by cutting your food into tiny pieces and scattering them across your plate.

The idea is that you cut calories by eating less . . . and people tend to eat a particular portion size, rather than eating until they are full. So instead of taking a smaller portion and thinking you're eating less . . . you spread the food all over the plate and trick yourself into thinking you're eating more than you are.

In one part of the study, they cut up chocolate bars, and plated them in different ways. And they found that people thought they were getting more when they were spread out, with spaces in between the pieces.

A 36-year-old man in Miami was arrested for multiple felonies last week. He reportedly stole from a farm back in December and then RETURNED to the scene of the crime last Wednesday afternoon to do some more thieving.

Someone called the police, and they showed up just in time to see the man . . . but he escaped in a getaway vehicle: Which was a stolen, 53-foot refrigerated semi, carrying 10 pallets of poultry valued at $140,000.

He did NOT steal the truck from the farm . . . he'd stolen it earlier and drove it there . . . so he DID intend on that being his getaway vehicle.

He led police officers on a chase . . . at one point driving the wrong way down a road, straight toward a cop car.

He eventually crashed the semi into a fence at a second farm, and was apprehended. He's being held on a $54,500 bond.
