A couple of deaths in the last few days. Guitarist Gary Rossington, the last surviving founding member of Southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd, has died at 71.

And on a more Demented side, Robert Haimer, aka Artie Barnes of the experimental pop duo Barnes and Barnes (with Lost in Space kid Bill Mumy,) who gave the world the forever-weird novelty hit "Fish Heads" (Dr Demento's #1 Most Requested Song of All Time,) has died after a long illness. He was 69.

The 2023 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards were Saturday, hosted by YouTube star Charli D'Amelio and CBS sports analyst Nate Burleson.
Here are some highlights:
Optimus Prime, yes the Autobot from "Transformers", was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award.
Melissa McCarthy was slimed in a dunk tank filled with over 1,500 gallons by her "Little Mermaid" costars Awkwafina and Halle Bailey.
Adam Sandler was given the King of Comedy Silver Blimp. Winners included Taylor Swift for favorite female artist and favorite album for "Midnights (3 AM Edition)". Her cat Olivia Benson Swift won favorite celebrity pet.
Harry Styles won favorite male artist, global music star, and favorite song for "As It Was". BTS won favorite music group.
"Wednesday" won favorite family TV show, and Jenna Ortega won favorite female TV star for a family show.
