This is a deep dive and I'll let you read it or not, but here is the Abstract of this paper.

Abstract- Many movies have coughs and sneezes in them. Some win the Academy Award for Best Picture. Is there a connection? The mainstream statistical hegemony says “no,” but our research suggests otherwise. We have created a model capable of predicting a Best Picture winner based on the number of coughs and sneezes in nominated films. This allows us not only to predict this year’s winner with 91.7% accuracy.

How did they do this year..using their formula, Based on the Coughgeist, either Dune or Licorice Pizza should win, as both those films have two expulsions. BUT Licorice Picca had an off screen cough..so it should be Dune.

Read the...long..paper here.

Some lifestyle "expert" claims the spot you scrub first might reveal something about your personality. Here are six body parts and what she says they mean

1. Your face. If it's the first place you wash, you "love money" and might struggle to get along with other people.

2. Your shoulders. You're loyal, reliable, devoted, and tend to "carry the world on your shoulders."

3. Your armpits. You're attentive, but might come across as naïve and lacking confidence.

4. Your chest. You're honest and loyal, but also stressed out a lot.

5. Your hair. You're a hopeless romantic who's usually immersed in your own thoughts. Also, you have the "temperament of an intellectual and an artist." (This is me..but I do it because I wash from the top down)

6. Random. If you don't go in a specific order, you're an adventurous person who doesn't like to be bored.

The average person spends 237 hours a year cleaning their home, according to a new study, that's the equivalent of about 10 days.

You've really gotta be a glass-half-full person for this next question: People were asked to name the chores they find the most relaxing. Somehow, our loudest chore got the most votes.

1. Vacuuming.

2. Wiping down the kitchen.

3. Laundry.

4. Doing dishes.

5. Tidying up. So, just putting stuff away and organizing.

6. Cleaning the bathroom, or the toilet.

7. Ironing.

8. Mopping.

9. Dusting.

10. Cleaning windows.

The insurance company Coventry Direct recently set out to determine the most popular Dessert in every state, and they did it by analyzing Google search data.

In the end, ice cream was #1 in five states, which was more than any other dessert. Those five are: California, Illinois, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and Washington, D.C.

Jell-O, of all things, was #1 in four states: Idaho, Minnesota, New Hampshire, and South Carolina.

Texas sheet cake was also #1 in four states, but not Texas: Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, and Ohio. Instead, Texas loves pecan pie along with Arkansas and Oklahoma.

Three other desserts had three states each: Brownies, carrot cake, and funnel cake.

Baked Alaska was #1 in just one state: Alaska.

Have you ever woken up from a nap and felt worse than when you started? Dr. Jeffrey Iliff is a sleep researcher, and a clip of him explaining how to take the perfect nap is making the rounds. He gives you two choices.

If you take a short nap, say 20 or 30 minutes, you won't go into a deep sleep, and you'll wake up feeling refreshed. If you want to go longer, nap for 90 minutes. That completes one full sleep cycle, and again, you'll wake up feeling recharged.

Today's Useless Fact of the Day - Niagara Falls never freezes. If it's cold enough, a crust of ice will form over the water, making it look like the Falls have stopped. However, the water continues to flow underneath.
