The nominations for the 94th Academy Awards were announced Tuesday and included films in a wide range of genres.
"The Power of the Dog" led among nominated films with 12 nods. The drama's director, Jane Campion, made history by becoming the first woman to be nominated more than once for best director. (Her previous nod was for "The Piano.")
Fellow directing nominee Steven Spielberg also set a new record. As producer of "West Side Story," which earned a total of seven nominations, Spielberg has now produced 11 films nominated for best picture, a new record for the Oscars.
The Academy Awards are set to take place on Sunday, March 27.

A new study Trusted Source published in JAMA Internal Medicine on Feb. 7 finds that getting more sleep each night may help facilitate weight loss. (because it's more time you can't put food in your mouth..I've been saying this for years!!!)
The report adds to the growing amount of evidence that sufficient sleep is a crucial ingredient to overall health and well-being.
This study is in line with prior research connecting sleep deprivation and disruptions in appetite regulation and weight gain.
According to researchers, an extra 1.2 hours making the total sleep time 8.5 hours could translate to a loss of 26 pounds over 3 years.

Sleep is known to impact appetite-regulating hormones.
Research has shown that sleep deprivation can increase levels of the stress hormone cortisol and decrease levels of the hormone leptin, which controls appetite, in the body.

Instagram accounts devoted to cute pets are a big business now they're called "petfluencers." But when your pet dies, you can't make money off them anymore. So some of those owners are cloning them ahead of time to keep the money rolling in.
It can cost $50 Thousand to clone your pet, but if your entire income is based on them, maybe it's worth it?
