The Olympics ended last night. I'm sure the ratings for the overtime Men's Hocky game between the US and Canada scored huge ratings! We won by the way and got the gold! By the way, things are all well with the universe as Canada won the Gold in Curling.

Norway has officially set a new Winter Games record, surpassing 17 gold medals. Their dominance in Nordic events remains the story of the 2026 Olympics, though the U.S. is currently holding strong in second place for the overall medal count.

Team USA bobsledder Elana Meyers Taylor just rewrote the record books! At 41 years old, she won gold in the women's monobob event at the 2026 Winter Olympics, becoming the oldest individual to ever win gold at the Winter Games. She's now the most decorated women's bobsledder in Olympic history AND the most decorated Black Winter Olympian in any sport. Even better? Her teammate Kaillie Humphries, 40, won bronze—marking the first time two women over 40 reached a Winter Olympic podium.

AND

Rich Ruohonen is the oldest member of the U.S. curling team, having made history as the oldest American to compete in the Winter Olympics at the age of 54.

Indiana police said a chase involving a "non-traditional," four-legged suspect in Richmond ended with some "straight-up hog wrasslin'." The pig led officers on quite the adventure before they managed to coral it. It's not every day that police departments have to deploy hog-wrangling skills, but apparently in Richmond, Indiana, it's just another Thursday. The pig was safely apprehended without injury to officers or pork.

Your mailbox is about to get busy. Gen Z and Millennials are turning snail mail into "performance art" with elaborate envelopes and handwritten notes. It's a 2026 backlash against the impersonal nature of DMs and AI-generated texts.

Lowest-Rated Movies On Letterboxd, Ranked By How Terrible They Truly Are. (with some user comments)

I am so, so, SO sorry about this picture.
I am so, so, SO sorry about this picture.

#1 Cats - Well deserved!!!! It's a deranged nightmarish vision committed to 100% by everyone involved. It should never have been made, but I'm so glad it was.

2. Son of the Mask

3. Dragonball Evolution - Sh*t is the perfect description for this film. Easily one of the worst movies I have ever seen.

4. Home Alone 4 - I hate everyone who thought this was a good idea

5. Foodfight - The movie that's running on the monitors in the waiting rooms for Hell.

6. Mean Girls 2

7. Saving Christmas - I watched this as a joke and ended up puking instead.

8. Battlefield Earth

9. 2025: The World Enslaved by a Virus

10. Music

Some great comments

#14. The Emoji Movie - I gave my six year old son control of the remote and told him to pick a movie. So we sat through this abomination. I have since put him up for adoption.

#16. The Last Airbender - imagine carrying a baby 9 whole months, dealing with sickness, pain and childbirth, and then it grows up to be the person who made this movie

#20. Epic Movie - I was once at the zoo and arrived at the hippopotamus section. The hippo experienced a great explosion of diarrhea. The area began to stink at a time interval of 5 minutes.

It was a more pleasant experience than this movie.
