The Stanley Cup craze is raising questions about how much water people should be drinking from the coveted cups.

The "all the rage" cup was the insulated 40-oz Stanley Quencher Tumbler with a side handle and straw.

The common advice of drinking eight glasses of water a day is an easy to remember goal, though it is not a one-size-fits-all answer.

The Mayo Clinic says that the water intake a person needs will fluctuate due to factors including exercise, environmental conditions and other health concerns.

The doctor's recommendation equates to just over one full Stanley cup of water consumed in a day.

Songs from artists like Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, and Drake might be disappearing from TikTok today.

Universal Music Group says it will pull its song catalog today after failing to come to a fair licensing deal with TikTok in regards to artists' pay, protecting artists from A.I., and online safety for users.  They even posted an open letter.

Quote, "TikTok proposed paying our artists and songwriters at a rate that is a fraction of the rate that similarly situated major social platforms pay.  Ultimately TikTok is trying to build a music-based business, without paying fair value for the music."

Universal also added that TikTok currently accounts for about 1% of revenue.

Google Trends put out a list of the top who, what, when, where, and why questions America googled this month.  Here's the top search for each one . . .

1.  "Who won Golden Globes in 2024?"  They were on January 7th, and obviously, lots of people won awards.  But the big winner this year was "Oppenheimer".

2.  "What happened to Martin Lawrence?"  He was in a throwback segment at the Emmys, and fans were worried after he seemed to slur his words a little.  He's had some health issues in the past.  But people in his camp said he's fine and recently wrapped "Bad Boys 4" with Will Smith, out June 14th.

3.  "When is Martin Luther King's birthday?"  Martin Luther King Day is always the third Monday of January.  This year, that also happened to be his birthday, January 15th.

4.  "Where is Bill Belichick going?"  He and the New England Patriots parted ways this month after 24 seasons and six Super Bowl wins.  No word yet on where he's headed next.

5.  "Why did Justin and Jessica split?"  That's Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel.  They briefly stopped dating way back in 2011, and rumors swirled they might split up again after 10+ years of marriage.  But she was with him at "SNL" last weekend, so that kind of put those rumors to bed for now.

A 39-year-old woman in Colorado named Krystal Gabel just found out SHE'S running for president . . . and she's NOT happy about it.

She didn't plan to run and doesn't want to.  But she'll be on the ballot in Minnesota's primary, running as the "Legal Marijuana Now Party" candidate.

So how did this happen?  Well, she IS a marijuana activist, and she's run for political office before.  But it happened because she used to be in the party's Facebook group, and they nominated her without her permission.  They thought she'd be cool with it.

She only found out because she has a Google Alert set up for her own name.  Minnesota's primary is March 5th, and it's too late to have her name removed now.  So she's actively telling people NOT to vote for her.

She says we all have a "common-law right NOT to be forced to be candidates," and called the whole thing "anti-democratic."

Dry or Damp January is coming to an end, and a dietician broke down the two biggest tips when it comes to choosing a healthier beverage:  Always be looking for drinks that are lower in sugar and higher in healthy ingredients.  Here are some of the healthiest types of alcoholic drinks . . .

1.  Hard Seltzers.  Most are just sparkling water and clear liquor, like tequila or vodka.  Just look for ones with no added sugar.

2.  Red Wine.  It's chock full of antioxidants, which can reduce inflammation and help prevent cancer and heart disease.

3.  Bloody Marys.  Tomato juice typically doesn't have a lot of sugar.  Plus, what other alcoholic drink comes with celery?

4.  Hot Toddies.  It's hot water, fresh lemon juice, honey, and whiskey.  About as "healthy" as it gets.
