1996 While we were all getting sick of the Macarena, the Summer Song Runner-Up was Toni Braxton's "You're Making Me High." It became Braxton's first number-one single on both the US Billboard Hot 100 and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts. A David Morales remix sent it to #1 on the Dance Chart. The song earned Braxton her third Grammy Award for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance. (take that Los Del Rio!)
