30 Years Ago - 1993 Ace of Base released their North American debut album The Sign.
It's a combination of songs from Happy Nation, a few added and revised versions.
"All That She Wants" peaked at #2 Hot 100, #1 Mainstream Top 40, #22 AC, #4 Rhythmic, #17 Alternative Airplay.
The next three are the ones they added for the US release.
"The Sign" was a #1 Hot 100 and Mainstream Top 40 smash, #2 AC, #4 Rhythmic. It was also the #1 song of 1994. Six non-consecutive weeks at #1 and become the first Swedish group to simultaneously have a number one song and album on the Hot 100 and Billboard 200 respectively.
"Don't Turn Around" is a cover of a Tina Turner B-side and a minor hit for Aswad. It peaked at #4, #7AC, #1 Mainstream Top 40, #6 Rhythmic.
