30 Years Ago - 1992 Dr. Dre released his debut album The Chronic.
It also features Snoop Dogg who used the album to launch his solo career. it was virtually impossible to hear mainstream hip-hop that wasn't affected in some way by Dre and his patented G-funk after the release of The Chronic.
Snoop now owns the Death Row Records company.
Three singles were released, "Nuthin' but a 'G' Thang" was the first single and was a smash. #1 R&B and RAp #4 Dance Single Sales, #2 Rhythmic and Hot 100.
"Let Me Ride" was the final single and won a Grammy for Best Rap Solo Performance. (#34 #4 Club #3 R&B and Rap #1 Rhythmic.)
