1989 - Lōc-ed After Dark - Tone Lōc

35 Years Ago - 1989 Tone Lōc released his debut album Lōc-ed After Dark.

It featured three singles: 

"Wild Thing" peaked at #2 behind "Straight Up" by Paula Abdul. The song uses an uncredited sample of Van Halen's "Jamie's Cryin'". The song also was a #1 Club, Crossover, and #2 Rap, #3 R&B hit.

"Funky Cold Medina" as with "Wild.." the song is co-written with Young MC (of "Bust a Move" fame.) It peaked at #3 Hot 100 and R&B, #8 club, #7 Rap.

"I Got It Goin' On" made #18 Rap Singles and #59 R&B.
