1988 Steven Winwood rolled with it to #1 Summer Song, and Cheap Trick burned "The Flame" as runner-up. It was their only #1 song. Reportedly, the band disliked the song at first and Rick Nielsen disliked the song so much on first hearing that he yanked it from the tape player and ground the cassette beneath his boot heel.
