40 Years Ago - 1983 David Bowie released his fifteenth album Let's Dance.
Nile Rodgers co-produced the record. The album also featured then-unknown Stevie Ray Vaughan on lead guitar.
Three singles were released in America:
"Let's Dance" became the biggest-selling single in Bowie's career. It went #1 Hot 100 and Dance. and #14 R&B.
"China Girl" was next and a rework of a song he did with Iggy Pop. (#10 #3 Mainstream Rock #51 Club.)
"Modern Love" (#14 #6 Mainstream Rock Tracks.)
