It won a Grammy for Album of the Year. Every single released hit the top ten, starting with "All Night Long (All Night)" Richie admitted that the "African" lyrics in the song, such as "Tom bo li de say de moi ya" and "Jambo jumbo", were in fact gibberish. it was a #1 Smash at Hot 100, AC and R&B.
