1983 - Can't Slow Down - Lionel Richie

40 Years Ago - 1983 Lionel Richie released his second album Can't Slow Down.

It won a Grammy for Album of the Year. Every single released hit the top ten, starting with "All Night Long (All Night)" Richie admitted that the "African" lyrics in the song, such as "Tom bo li de say de moi ya" and "Jambo jumbo", were in fact gibberish. it was a #1 Smash at Hot 100, AC and R&B. (#5 Club)

"Running with the Night" peaked at #7 (#6 AC & R&B)

"Hello" was a #1 smash on all charts.

"Stuck on You" made #3 (#1 AC, #24 Country, #8 R&B)

"Penny Lover" was another #1 AC hit (#8 Hot 100 & R&B)
