1982 The Clash released their fifth album Combat Rock. The album featured their two biggest hits. "Rock the Casbah" (#8 #8 Club #6 Top Tracks.) Apparently the lyrics written by the band drummer Topper Headon were "a soppy set of lyrics about how much he missed his girlfriend", "Strummer just took one look at these words and said, 'How incredibly interesting!', screwed the piece of paper into a ball and chucked it backwards over his head."

The second single was "Should I Stay or Should I Go" (#45 #13 Top Tracks.) (That's it?? Always thought it was a bigger hit.)
