45 Years Ago - 1979 Prince released his second self-titled album.

The album was written, arranged, composed, produced, and performed entirely by Prince.

"I Wanna Be Your Lover" was his first major hit single peaking at #1 R&B, #2 Club, #11 Hot 100.

"Why You Wanna Treat Me So Bad?" made #13 R&B.

"Still Waiting" peaked at #65 R&B.

The album also features “I Feel For You” which became a hit for Chaka Kahn.

40 Years Ago - 1984 Apollonia 6 released their self-titled album.

They were Prince protegees and this is their only album. It was supposed to be the second album for Vanity 6, but Vanity left.

"Sex Shooter" peaked at #85, #32 Club, and #19 R&B.

"Blue Limousine" made #19 R&B.
