1979 - Discovery - ELO

45 Years Ago - 1979 Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) released their eighth album Discovery.

In one of his earliest jobs, comedian/actor Brad Garrett, dressed in Middle Eastern clothes and turban, appears on the back cover as the menacing palace guard who is drawing his scimitar. (yes, from Everyone Loves Raymond)

"Shine a Little Love" peaked at #8, #40 AC

"Don't Bring Me Down" made #4 (their highest in Americ.) Jeff Lynn is not saying Bruce - He has explained that he is singing a made-up word, "Groos", which some have suggested sounds like the German expression "Gruß", meaning "greeting."

"Confusion" made #37, #41 AC.

"Last Train to London" only made #39.
