He's hired. Sebastian Stan (Bucky from The Avengers, and most recently Tommy Lee in the Pam & Tommy series) has reportedly been cast as a young Donald Trump in a movie called "The Apprentice."

According to Deadline, the film will depict Trump's "efforts to build his real estate business in New York in the '70s and '80s" and explore his relationship with attorney Roy Cohn. "The Apprentice" is described as an "exploration of power and ambition set in a world of corruption and deceit," and a "mentor-protege story that charts the origins of an American dynasty."

For years and years, the Academy has desperately tried to prevent the Oscars from running too late. But someone just had a bright idea: why not simply start the show earlier? Well, the Academy will give it a shot in 2024, when the Oscars telecast will begin at 7 p.m. Eastern. The ceremony, which airs on ABC, will be followed by a new episode of "Abbott Elementary." presumably at 10:30. (why bother putting something there..it will run over..I hate when they do this.)

Here's a random question for the first day of December: How do you eat a candy cane?

The National Confectioners Association asked 1,500 Americans about their candy-cane-eating technique. And the most popular way to eat them is straight end first.

55% of us start by suckin' on the straight end of a candy cane . . . 28% go for the curved end first . . . and 17% said neither, they break it into pieces first.

73% of us prefer classic peppermint candy canes. 27% like other "fun" flavors.

You can get them in a lot of weird flavors now, including mac-and-cheese . . . bacon . . . hot dogs . . . pickles . . . sardine-flavored candy canes . . . and even ones that are supposed to taste like possum.

Interesting drinks - A place in New Hampshire called Tamworth Distilling has a new brandy that tastes like smoked trout. They started selling it November 17th for $65 a bottle. They also have a whiskey that tastes like crab, and another that tastes like deer meat.

A new report found Americans are NOT the biggest binge-drinkers in the world, but we're up there. It looked at 33 wealthy nations and how common it is. They defined it as six or more drinks in one drinking "session."

Denmark ranked first. 37% of Danes have done some binge-drinking in the past month. Then it's Romania, 36% . . . the U.K., 35% . . . and the U.S. is 10th at 23%.

If you just look at stats for women, we rank higher . . . fourth in the world. 21% of American women have gotten hammered in the past month. The U.K. ranked first at 26%.
