The U.S. life expectancy in 2022 rose by more than a year to 77 years and 6 months, according to the CDC, which said the jump is mostly due to the waning Covid-19 pandemic. We're still below the peak life expectancy of 78 years, 10 months, the U.S. reached in 2019.

Taylor Swift was Spotify's most-streamed artist this year. Her more than 26 billion streams pushed Bad Bunny to second place after a three-year streak on top. The Weeknd, Drake and Mexican Musician Peso Pluma came in third, fourth and fifth.
Bad Bunny still had the most streamed album, Taylor Midnight's was second, and SZA's was third.
Flowers by Miley Cyrus was the most streamed song of the year.
In the US, Morgan Wallen was top three most streamed artist. He also had Apple Music's #1 Global song with Last Night.

Kate McKinnon is headed back to her old stomping grounds. The Emmy-winning comedian will return to "Saturday Night Live" on Dec. 16 as host of the final episode of 2023. She starred on "SNL" for a decade before leaving in 2022, but this will be her first time hosting the show. McKinnon's monologue will surely touch on her role as Weird Barbie in "Barbie," the highest-grossing film of the year. She'll be joined by musical guest Billie Eilish, providing some "Barbie" synergy considering the pop star performed the film's acclaimed original song "What Was I Made For?"
December 9th will be Adam Driver and Olivia Rodrigo.
This week it's Emma Stone and Noah Kahan.

One of the tastes that will instantly be in your head is Kraft Mac & Cheese..you know the one in the blue box with the powdered cheese?
Well - get ready for “Kraft Not Mac & Cheese" and it features a dairy-free alternative to its usual powdered cheese.
It will be showing up in grocery stores soon, and will come in two varieties original and white cheddar with shells. Both will be priced at $3.49. This is the first time Kraft has offered a vegan, "plant-based" option. (the regular is what..a dollar?)
The vegan cheese "sauce" is made with fava bean protein and coconut oil powder, which Kraft says has a "similar taste, look, and feel to dairy-based mac and cheese." In other words, it's better than it sounds. In fact, their press release describes it as "mouthwatering."

Gen Z's new favorite selfie pose is "SCRUNCH FACE." It's mostly something teenage girls are doing.
"Duck face" dominated for a long time. That's where you put your lips like a duck. But that's old news.
To pull off scrunch face, you have to scrunch your nose, squint your eyes, and flash a grin. If you do it right, it's supposed to look cute.
It's also kind of like the face you'd make if you just bit into a lemon. So it's not exactly a new facial expression.
People have actually been doing it on social media for a while. But it's hit a point where kids do it compulsively now, without even thinking. So it's all over social media.

Here's a little advice from Arnold Schwarzenegger on how to start your day: When you wake up in the morning, the most important thing to do is . . . NOT THINK.
Before you engage your brain, you should engage your BODY in some physical activity.
Quote, "Don't think when you get up because stupid stuff comes into your mind and negative stuff . . . Just roll out of bed, get on your bike and start riding the bike and work out and do something physical.
"And then afterward you will feel much better about yourself and about the world, the way you look at the world and everything like that."

Heinz is coming out with a new flavor: Pickle Ketchup. And it is what it sounds like: A condiment that "combines the tangy and savory flavor of pickles, with Heinz Ketchup."
Someone who has tried it says that it's "like they bottled up the flavor of McDonald's pickles and ketchup." It "isn't super dilly," and it takes the pairing of ketchup and French fries to another level.

Today's Useless Fact of the Day - The word "vodka" comes from the Russian word "voda" . . . which means water.
