Adele has become the latest – and arguably the biggest – artist to announce a Las Vegas concert residency.
Weekends With Adele will take place between 21 January and 16 April 2022, with two shows each weekend. Tickets go on general sale on 7 December.
The concerts at The Colosseum, Caesars Palace Hotel, come in the wake of her fourth album 30, released earlier this month to general critical acclaim and huge commercial success. It is at No 1 in the UK and US, where it became the year’s biggest-selling album after just three days on sale.
The Vegas shows, which diminish the pressures of international touring, are a canny move from an artist who lives primarily in Los Angeles, and the relatively small 4,100-capacity venue will play to her strengths as a between-song conversationalist. Adele told one audience during her previous world tour that “touring isn’t something I’m good at. Applause makes me feel a bit vulnerable. I don’t know if I will ever tour again. The only reason I’ve toured is you. I’m not sure if touring is my bag.”

52% of people say the worst part of the entire holiday season is wrapping presents. And 51% hate it so much, they'd rather pay a professional to wrap their gifts.
50% will go out of their way to avoid buying gifts that will be difficult to wrap like bicycles, gym equipment, sports equipment, guitars, and "candles."
And this is relatable: 59% say they can tell what something is, and who it's from, based on how it's been wrapped.
My gifts look like a two year old tried. Of course the cats don't help.

Every year, a company called NordPass goes through all the lists of hacked passwords that get leaked on the internet, to figure out the most common, easy, and hackable ones that people are still using.
And once again, the two most common passwords are "123456" and "password." Somewhere, a room full of Russians are looking up from their fake Facebook accounts and smiling.
Other common bad ones are: 111111, qwerty, sunshine, football, soccer, monkey, password1, princess, and unknown.
There's a list of the Top 200 worst passwords in the U.S., and it includes: Superman, cookie, linkedin, whatever, letmein, booboo, and muffin.
And some people really put a lot of effort into making their dumb passwords work like "passw0rd" with a zero for the "o" also made the Top 200.

A new study found that snapping your fingers is the fastest thing the human body can do. And it's incredibly fast.
Scientists at Georgia Tech found it takes just seven milliseconds to snap your fingers. That's about three times faster than a baseball pitcher's arm is moving when they release the ball and 20 times faster than the blink of an eye.
But back to the superhero thing: The study looked at whether or not gloves made of different materials would make us better at snapping, and the answer is no. Our skin is perfect for it. There's just the right amount of friction.
They specifically called out Thanos from the Avenger movies, who can turn people to dust just by snapping his fingers. They say that in reality, there's no way he'd be able to produce an actual snapping sound with that big, gold glove on his hand.
