If you’re hoping to one day give birth to the next Shaquille O’Neal, maybe lay off the coffee. New research in the Journal of the American Medical Association says drinking coffee when you’re ‘preggers’ can make your kids shorter. They found as little as half-a-cup a day can shave an inch of your kid's height by the time they’re old enough for elementary school. That’s about the same as kids whose moms smoked during pregnancy.

You can actually buy the original E.T. The mechatronic figure used in the movie is up for auction. It's called E.T. Hero number one… and even though it was long before all the modern CGI technology and effects we've got now… it's regarded as an engineering masterpiece. It'll likely go for 3-million dollars. Other stuff up for very expensive grabs in the "Icons & Idols: Hollywood" auction include Harry Potter, Star Wars, Rocky, and Titanic memorabilia. You've got a few weeks to get that second mortgage on your house to afford this stuff. The auction goes down December 17th and 18th.

Did you hit snooze on your alarm this morning? If it was Wednesday you would have more than other days and a new study says it might not be as bad for you as some people think.
The general thought is you're better off setting your alarm for nine minutes later and not hitting snooze at all. That way, your sleep doesn't get interrupted.
But researchers at Notre Dame found it might not make a huge difference either way. So if that's how you like to wake up, don't worry about it too much. And you're not alone. 57% of people in the study were habitual snoozers.
Now the bad news: They basically found that using an alarm at all isn't great. Ideally, you should be going to bed earlier, so your body wakes up naturally.
They found that people who do use an alarm tend to be more sleep-deprived in general, which isn't shocking. Here's how they summed it up . . .
Quote, "Waking to one alarm . . . or hitting the snooze button and waking to two or three alarms . . . doesn't make much of a difference. If you need an alarm because you're sleep-deprived, that's the issue."

A new study found that the average person gives up trying to be trendy at the age of 35. Here are some other stats from the study:
1. 37% of people are overwhelmed by the volume and speed of fashion trends.
2. 38% don't have the confidence to try the hottest styles.
3. 49% struggle to strike a balance between "trendy" and "age appropriate" . . . and 58% feel too old to wear certain clothing.
4. 38% of people say they feel "judged by others" when trying to stay ahead of the fashion curve.
5. Other reasons that people don't bother with fashion trends include: They're not a fit for their body type . . . they don't know how to style what's "in-season" . . . and it's "too expensive" to keep up with the constant churn.
