We are just a little over halfway through Fall...Someone polled thousands of Americans and asked if they usually say "autumn" or "fall." And as you'd expect, the less formal "fall" is more common. But a surprising number of us do say "autumn."

21% of people said they usually use "autumn" when talking about the season we're currently in. That includes 16% of women and 26% of men. Young people are more likely to say it too. 30% of people between 25 and 35 prefer autumn, compared to just 14% of older Americans.

Is it okay for your neighbors to put up their Christmas decorations yet? 49% of Americans want to start seeing them in their neighborhood by Thanksgiving. Most of us don't plan to put our own decorations up until after Thanksgiving though. The most popular day to do it is Black Friday.

Is it exhausting having the "Elf on the Shelf" visit your home? A judge in Cobb County, Georgia named Judge Rob Leonard is offering local, "tired parents" an out, with a playful order banishing the elves from Cobb County.

He just made an order requesting that the elf NOT show up in homes this holiday season. He said that "inexplicably" some elves fail to move, and when that occurs, it can disappoint the children . . . and with everything going on, he believes it's best to "Banish all Elves on Shelves from Cobb County."

Clearly, this is tongue-in-cheek, and it's unclear how official it is. In any event, the parents who still welcome the elf can keep it. He said the order is a, "gift to tired parents," but there are "no contempts," so you can ignore it.

(who wants to bet he has kids...)

40% of Americans say that going up or down a single flight of stairs makes them realize how out of shape they are. (down?? I'm out of shape, but not that bad.)

Three in five people admit they're reluctant to exercise. Half of those people said it's because exercise just feels like a lot. And since we don't move around much, we deal with lots of aches and pains when we do occasionally get moving.

Our sorest body part on any given day is our feet or legs. The rest of the top five are a sore back, sore shoulders, sore neck, and sore arms or hands. And 11% of Americans say their butt is one of their sorest body parts.

The Foo Fighters have been busy lately, a new album, an album of Bee Gees covers, and they also secretly shot their own movie, and it's coming out on February 25th. It's a horror-comedy and it's called "Studio 666".

The band will be playing themselves, trying to record their 10th album in a mansion in Encino. But they end up fighting supernatural forces that are threatening their lives and the completion of the album.

Dave Grohl wrote the story and said it includes quote, "hilarious gore that [effing] rocks." It was filmed at the same place where they recorded their last album, "Medicine at Midnight".

Will Forte, Whitney Cummings, Leslie Grossman, and Jeff Garlin are in it, too.

The director said, quote, "[It's] a perfect combination of all things I love. Rock, horror, and comedy all tied together in a very thrilling motion picture . . . I am so excited to have teamed up with Foo to create an old school 'band' movie."
