It seems Grammys 2023 will look a lot like Grammys 2017 with another high-profile matchup between Adele and Beyoncé.
The pair are facing off again with their nominations in major categories: record of the year, song of the year, and album of the year.
This time around Beyoncé has nine nominations and Adele has seven.
Puerto Rican rapper and singer superstar Bad Bunny has made Grammy history. His latest album "Un Verano Sin Ti" has earned two 2023 Grammy Award nominations, including a historic first in the Album of the Year category — the first Spanish-language album to ever receive such recognition.
The Grammy Nominations were announced yesterday.

The Minis are now available at select stores nationwide, after first popping up in several markets a couple of weeks ago. Each one costs $2.79.

A garage always starts out as a place for vehicles . . . but over time, a work-bench is added, along with tools, gardening equipment, secondary fridges, Christmas decorations, and more and more boxes of stuff.
There's a new survey out on garages, and 36% of Americans say their garage is so cluttered, they can no longer park vehicles inside.
And 62% say their garage is the most cluttered space in their entire home.
Just over half, 53%, use their garage as an at-home workshop for DIY projects. Which implies that there's still enough space to walk around, at least.
Not surprisingly, most people would prefer an organized garage. 90% of people say an orderly garage can make a small garage feel bigger . . . and 85% would take pride in a well-organized and usable garage.
But 52% of people are NOT satisfied with the way their garage is set up now.

Some people have started doing something called "Reverse Catfishing." That is: Instead of putting up photos where you look better than you do in real life, you put up photos that make you look worse.
So that way, when someone meets you in person, they'll be pleasantly surprised. And that's a better reaction than if you look worse than your photos . . . so when they meet you they're disappointed.
Of course, the challenge is actually locking down dates with so-so photos on your profile. But if you think you can pull it off, "reverse catfishing" can get your in-person dates off to the best possible start.

Collins Dictionary in the U.K. just announced their Word of the Year for 2022, It is
Permacrisis: an extended period of instability and insecurity, especially one resulting from a series of catastrophic events.
They say it perfectly captures the sense of jumping from, quote, "one unprecedented event to another, as we wonder bleakly what new horrors might be around the corner."
The pandemic and the war in Ukraine and the two main examples they give. But there's also the energy crisis, the economic crisis, and the fact that they've had three different prime ministers this year.
Here are a few more words and terms that made their shortlist.
Quiet quitting: "the practice of doing no more work than one is contractually obliged to do"
Splooting: "the act of lying flat on the stomach with the legs stretched out." It's what squirrels and other animals do during heatwaves.
Sportswashing: "to sponsor or promote sporting events in order to distract attention from a controversial activity or reputation." That's a reference to Saudi Arabia creating the LIV Golf league.
Partygate: The term used after former Prime Minister Boris Johnson was caught partying while covid lockdowns were in place.
Carolean (care-uh-LEE-an): "of or relating to Charles the Third or his reign." While King Charles is on the throne, it's the "Carolean era." Before the Queen died in September, it was the "New Elizabethan era."
