Ever wonder why plane food tastes good? At 35,000ft the human tongue goes partially numb, causing loss of approx 1/3 of taste buds. The noise [80-85dB] also dulls sensitivity to salty and sugary flavors whilst enhancing umami. This explains why air passengers order tomato juice more often than beer.

Buy a world map shower curtain. You'll become a geography expert from all the time you spend in the bathroom!

I guess this would work to with the periodic table. I've also read that you can learn things by putting them as the background on your computer. I wish you could just put it under your pillow and it would seep in!!!!!

Is this a fun idea, or are people just getting weirder? The newest dating trend is to rent a U-HAUL together and hang out in the back of it.

People are doing it and posting videos on TikTok. They usually get dinner, eat in the back, and put an inflatable mattress in there to hang out on . . . and maybe do OTHER things on.

People like it because it's weird and unique. And it's also cheap if you don't drive too far. U-Haul's base rate is $19.95 a day, plus mileage and gas. So if you don't have your own car, it's cheaper than renting one.

Most people opt for a big box truck. But a couple in New York just went viral after renting a U-Haul pick-up for their one-year anniversary. They bought a bunch of snacks and took it to a drive-in movie.

Some guy in Fresno, California may have started the trend when he took his girlfriend on a pandemic date way back in August of 2020.

He rented a U-Haul for their first anniversary . . . put a mattress in it . . . decorated it with candles . . . opened the back door . . . and they had dinner next to a lake.

Trevor Noah announced yesterday that he's leaving "The Daily Show" after seven years. But he didn't say when that'll be.

He said, quote, "It's been one of my greatest challenges [and] one of my greatest joys. I've loved trying to figure out how to make people laugh even when the stories are particularly [crappy] on the worst days . . .

"I'm not disappearing, don't worry. If I owe you money, I'll still pay you."

Trevor said he misses doing stand-up comedy, traveling to other countries, and learning other languages. So it sounds like he already has a plan for what's next.

No timetable on when he's leaving, and they are working on the next steps.

It's official, every superhero fan's dream has come true: Hugh Jackman will return as Wolverine for "Deadpool 3". It'll be the first time seeing him together with Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool since 2009's "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" . . . which was, of course, a disaster.

In a message on Twitter last week, Ryan says he's been thinking of ways to make Deadpool's first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe special.

He then asks Hugh if he wants to play Wolverine one more time. To which Hugh responds with a simple "Yeah, sure."

"Deadpool 3" hits theaters September 6th, 2024.

If you don't like going to weddings, there's GOOD inflation news: CNN says inflation is forcing couples to trim down their wedding guest lists.

Today's Useless Fact of the Day - According to the American Bar Association there are currently 1,116,967 lawyers practicing in the United States. That's approximately one for every 300 people or approximately 0.4% of the total population.
