Have you ever wondered what a writer's thoughts are when a book adaptation is made? Authors have hated or loved choices for years.
Stephen King - He did not like Jack Nicholson's performance as Jack Torrance in "The Shining" but he does like Tim Curry's Pennywise for the "It" TV miniseries.
Diana Gabaldon - For the "Outlander" series, she said Sam Heughan being cast as Jaime Fraser was "grotesque" but then she saw his audition tape and called it "astonishing."
Truman Capote - He was never happy with Audrey Hepburn's Holly Golightly in "Breakfast at Tiffany's" he had wanted Marilyn Monroe instead.
Suzanne Collins - She was thrilled when Jennifer Lawrence was picked to be Katniss in "The Hunger Games."
Anne Rice - She was upset with Tom Cruise as Lestat in "Interview with a Vampire". But after seeing the film, she took back everything she said and even called Tom to apologize.
Ken Kesey - He disapproved of Jack Nicholson playing Randle McMurphy in "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" he said he was too short and too shrewd, but for what it's worth, Jack won the Best Actor Oscar for that performance.

Don't stock up on Halloween candy the day after, because Reese's is unleashing a new peanut butter cup that comes with crushed-up potato chips inside.
A photo of them leaked online last year but now it's official.
It sounds like they're only doing them as a "Big Cup." That's their king size version that's bigger and thicker than a normal Reese's, And the chips look like generic Ruffles.
They should be rolling them out to stores nationwide soon. So look for them in the candy aisle.
This isn't the first time they've done something like this. Last year, they started selling a Big Cup Reese's with crushed-up pretzels mixed in.

A new survey asked people what age kids become too old for trick-or-treating and 12 was the most popular age, with 12% of the vote. 13 was next, followed by 14, 15, and 16. But 26% of people said they don't think kids should ever be considered too old for trick-or-treating.

Halloween is Sunday, and I have to see the Peanuts special every year. Mental Floss has some interesting facts about "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown."
It featured the first time in animation that Lucy pulls the football away from Charlie Brown.
Charles Schulz's office was overloaded with candy sent by fans for Charlie Brown, they were angry that he kept getting rocks when trick-or-treating.
Some scholars thought the Great Pumpkin was a real legend.
The young girl who voiced Sally had to rush to record her lines because she had a loose tooth. The producers were worried a lisp would ruin her voiceover work her tooth fell out right after recording.
