The Writers Guild of America declared its strike against studios over after union board members approved the contract agreement Tuesday following a walkout that lasted nearly five months. The writers must still vote to ratify the contract early next month, but they were free to start writing again at 12:01 a.m. today. Meanwhile, actors returned to the picket line yesterday.

Depending on how fast they can gear up, the late-night shows could start Monday the 2nd or the 9th.

The Holidays are right around the corner, a friend of mine saw the first Christmas commercial the other night, so that means..Gift Giving Time is here!

A new survey has found that the average person gets seven gifts a year that they never use and the worst gift givers are usually: Friends, children, and coworkers.

26% of people say they donate unwanted gifts to charity . . . and 18% consider re-wrapping it and giving it to someone else.

The survey also produced a list of the "worst gifts to receive," and some people ARE really terrible at gift-giving.

It includes: Bad romance novels . . . a diet plan . . . a car manual . . . children's toys . . . cufflinks . . . ties . . . movies you've already seen . . . maps of the U.S. . . . cleaning products . . . joke books . . .A mousepad . . . an apron . . . a scarf . . . "chocolate coins" . . . calendars . . . anti-aging products . . . potpourri . . . crossword books . . . picture frames . . . perfume . . . a mug . . . and "a bottle of booze."

Ever since "Barbie" came out, there's been a trend on TikTok of adults filming themselves picking out and buying Barbie dolls . . . for themselves.

It's basically for emotional support and to fulfill their inner child.

People are also buying them for loved ones who might not have had one as a kid.

According to a psychology professor, this is a GOOD thing and can have positive mental health effects. They say it can prevent depression and build optimism and confidence.

A woman in Florida is facing charges after she stole a young alligator for "a photo shoot" . . . and kept it in the bathtub of her hotel room.

She used to work there and still had her keys.

She told officials that she was "borrowing" the alligator for a photo shoot she was doing for her birthday. Whatever that means.

The owner of Croc Encounters says she did NOT have permission to take the alligator but they won't press charges for theft or trespassing.

Still, you can't just have an alligator in a bathtub so Madison was issued a notice to appear in court for possession of the animal.

Scream Queens of horror cinema like Jamie Lee Curtis, Neve Cambell, and Sarah Michelle Gellar are more popular than the actors that appear on this list. But Scream Kings have been gaining far more traction in recent years thanks to some truly high-quality projects.

MovieWeb.com has the list.

1. Justin Long: "Jeepers Creepers", "Drag Me to Hell", "Tusk", "Barbarian".

2. Patrick Wilson: "Insidious", "The Conjuring", "Prometheus", "Bone Tomahawk".

3. Bruce Campbell: "Evil Dead", "Evil Dead 2", "Army of Darkness", "Maniac Cop", "Black Friday".

4. David Arquette: The "Scream" movies, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", "Eight Legged Freaks", "Ravenous", "Bone Tomahawk".

5. The late Anton Yelchin: "Green Room", "Fright Night" (2011), "Burying the Ex".

They say dogs are "man's best friend." But are they really Woman's best friend? A new study found they're more likely to listen to, and follow instructions from women. And the reason is baby talk.

Researchers scanned dogs' brains while they played audio of people talking to dogs . . . to babies . . . and to other adults.

It turned out the dogs' brains lit up much more when they heard speech directed at dogs and babies. And especially when it was a woman talking.
