December babies have it rough. When your birthday is close to Christmas, you get lost in the shuffle . . . your parents combine it with the holidays . . . and you end up getting fewer gifts than other kids.
So this caught our attention: Some woman's mommy blog post is going viral after she asked if she should start celebrating her son's birthday in JUNE instead.
He's a December baby, and she feels bad for him because of all the reasons we mentioned. He's also got a sibling with a summer birthday, which makes it worse.
She asked if anyone else with a December baby ever does a "fake birthday" in June, or if that's crazy. And the responses were mixed.
More than a few people called it a dumb idea. One person said that unless her kid's birthday is ON Christmas, it's unnecessary.
A few people actually offered solutions though. For example, one person said they balance things out by always buying their kid summer stuff, like a new bike.
A few also said they know parents with kids born on Christmas Day. And they always celebrate on their half-birthday instead, which is June 25th.

Apparently, a bunch of us don't know how to take a shower correctly.
Here are five tips from dermatologists . . .
1. Don't shower too often. It should depend on your activity level. If you're not very active and don't sweat much, you don't HAVE to shower every day.
2. Keep it short. Water and cleansers like shampoo and body wash can dry out your hair and skin, so the quicker you are the better.
3. Stay cool. Hot water strips away natural oils and can damage your skin, so it's better to take a shower that's lukewarm or cooler.
4. Don't wash your hair too much . . . or too little. Hair is made of dead skin cells, so it doesn't need as much washing as the rest of your skin. But not washing it enough can lead to dandruff.
5. Focus on the dirtiest areas. Your arms and legs don't always need soap . . . but your underarms, feet, and groin DO.

People have been debating whether or not a straw has one hole . . . or two holes . . . and now, there's even a poll where everyday people are weighing in.
54% of people say there's ONE hole. 42% of people say TWO. And 4% of people apparently need more time to think about it.
People 65 and older were most likely to say ONE hole, while Millennials were most likely to vote for TWO.
There is an actual answer, according to science: ONE hole.
It's complicated, but here's one simple way of putting it: There are not two circles at each end of the straw . . . the whole thing is same circle. If you squish down a straw, it'll look more like a ring or a washer, and there will be one hole.

Have you heard about the sleep trend called "mouth taping" that's all over TikTok right now? You basically just tape your mouth shut before you go to bed, and it forces you to breathe through your nose all night.
It's supposed to be healthier, but is it really?
It's not a brand new idea, but it's trending right now. And some people swear by it. There are risks though, so most doctors DON'T suggest it.
Nose breathing does have some health benefits. Mainly, it also produces more nitric oxide, which widens your blood vessels and helps circulate oxygen through your body.
Most experts say forcing yourself to breathe through your nose isn't good though. It could be dangerous if you get congested in your sleep. And having your mouth taped shut might be an issue if you have to PUKE in the middle of the night.
It might also make sleep apnea worse, and up your risk for things like heart disease and stroke. One doctor also pointed out it's not great for your lips either. The skin is delicate, so you shouldn't be ripping tape off them every day.
