The award shows continue tonight with the 74th Emmy Awards for the best in Television. Kenan Thompson will host on NBC and Peacock.

How many decisions or choices do you think you consciously make every day? The average answer in a new poll was 122, or about one decision every eight minutes.

The average person said they waffle or change their mind twice per decision. And some choices are easier to make than others.

People were asked to name the most difficult everyday decisions they have to make. Here are the top ten . . .

1. What to watch on TV. It's inconsequential, but we have a hard time with it.

2. What to eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

3. What to wear each day.

4. Whether to buy something or not.

5. Whether to work out or not.

6. What time to go to bed.

7. Should you have one more of something, like a cookie or a beer.

8. Whether or not to ask someone out.

9. Meal planning for the week.

10. Whether you should go out with friends, or just stay in.

A few more that made the list include what to order at a restaurant . . . whether to cook dinner or order in . . . and whether or not to hit snooze one more time.

There's nothing strange about asking a pet if they're hungry or something, but if you're having long conversations with them about your day . . . or Paul in accounting . . . or supply chain issues . . . that's kinda weird, right?

A poll asked pet owners if they talk "at length" with their pets, and 60% of dog owners say they have full-blown discussions with their dog. That's higher than cat owners . . . only 52% say they have long talks with their cats.

When asked who's "in charge" in their home, 62% of people said the HUMANS are in charge. 10% said their PETS rule the house. And 25% say they and their pets are both "equally in charge."

Here are some other results from the poll:

1. 38% of pet owners say they have birthday celebrations for their pets.

2. 56% say they buy their pets gifts for birthdays or holidays.

3. 24% say they dress their pets up for holidays or events.

4. 30% say it's a "good idea" to give a pet AS a gift. 35% say it's a bad idea.

While doing press for one of the summer's biggest movies "DC League of Super-Pets", The Rock and Kevin Hart were asked which celebrity they'd want to be pets for.

Without the slightest hesitation, the Rock quickly said Megan Thee Stallion. He just said, quote, "We don't have to talk about that, okay?"

Kevin had a much different answer. He said Denzel Washington.

There are three types of people out there: Those who can take care of houseplants . . . those who will kill houseplants . . . and those who will kill houseplants immediately.

A new poll asked Americans if they could keep a houseplant alive for at least six months, and 33% of people are confident they could. Another 33% said that they probably could.

10% said there's NO CHANCE it lasts six months . . . and another 14% said it's "not very likely."

When asked if they have a "green thumb," only 13% of people are confident that they do. Another 22% are working at it. 59% of people don't have a green thumb.

33% of people say they have ZERO houseplants. 29% have a few, and 17% of people have seven or more, which is quite a commitment. 4% of people couldn't say how many houseplants they have, so they're probably dead.
