Taylor Swift has one of the highest average ticket prices over the past five years . . . $239.  She's second only to U2, at $272.  But she's not even in the Top 10 if you're calculating it BY THE MINUTE.

A new study analyzed touring data from 200 of the most popular acts, and compared their average ticket prices to the average lengths of their shows.

And it turns out Bruno Mars is the costliest artist, at $2.19 per minute.  Here's the Top 10 . . .

1.  Bruno Mars,  $2.19 per minute.

2.  U2,  $2.12 per minute.

3.  Drake,  $1.81 per minute.

4.  The Rolling Stones,  $1.78 per minute.

5.  George Strait,  $1.77 per minute.

6.  Eagles,  $1.74 per minute.

7.  Blink-182,  $1.53 per minute.

8.  (TIE)  Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, and Morgan Wallen,  $1.39

The reason Taylor isn't high on the list is because, even though her tickets are pricey, you get A LOT of Taylor for your buck.

Her concerts average 3 hours and 21 minutes . . . more than anyone else in the study.

A promo video for a new product called "Friend" blew up on social media this weekend.  It's a virtual companion you wear like a necklace.  The pendant has a built-in microphone that listens and responds to whatever you say.

People are mostly mocking it for being dystopian and weird, but some people like the idea.  One person said it's like a Tamagotchi . . . the virtual pets from the '90s . . . but called it a "Tamagotchi with a soul."

It's ALWAYS listening and tosses out comments when it wants to.  But it can't totally replace real friends yet, because it doesn't talk.  It only responds via text.

The ad shows a woman eating and watching a show on her phone when a message pops up saying the show is "completely underrated."  Then it asks if her falafel is any good.

One way it IS like a Tamagotchi is it can DIE.  Their website says "Your friend and their memories are attached to the physical device.  If you lose or damage your friend, there is no recovery plan."

You can pre-order them for $99 at Friend.com, but they don't ship until early next year.  The current version only works with iPhones.  They say they'll expand to Android if there's enough demand.

People are making fun of it.  But a recent study at Stanford found virtual friends could be helpful for people who live alone, or just don't have a lot of friends to turn to for advice.

Just get yourself a random friend on Facebook who doesn’t mind conversing.

Today's Useless Fact of the Day - Canada has almost four times more coastline than any other country in the world.  Canada has 125,600 miles of coastline, while Norway is second with 36,100 miles.
