Have you heard the "new" version of the alphabet song that's going viral? It's not actually BRAND new. More and more schools have switched to it over the past decade. But if you don't have young kids, you might not know.
It's still sung to the tune of "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star". But the pauses are in different spots because the old way was too confusing. (no..it really wasn't.) vvc
Saying "Y and Z" at the end apparently left some kids thinking there was an "N" in there, and the alphabet had two N's. Some also got confused by "L-M-N-O-P", and thought it was all one letter. (who?? who????)
Now there is a pause after the G...the N. Then it's "O-P-Q" . . . "R-S-T" . . . "U-V-W" . . . "X-Y-Z".
It's all over social media after an elementary school teacher talked about it. She said her school switched to the new version a couple years ago. .. and they also changed the end.
We used to button it up with, "Now I know my A-B-C's. Next time won't you sing with me." The new version is, "Now I never will forget, how to say the alphabet."
Some people see both sides. Like one person who wrote, "It's better. I hate it."

An expert in feng shui and organizing your home posted a video on the best and worst places for an air freshener. And the best spot is NOT your living room.
That's where people usually put them, because it's where we spend the most time. But if you put it there, you get used to the smell and don't even notice it.
He says bedrooms aren't a great spot either, because it just makes the rest of the house seem like it stinks. And the kitchen might be the worst place, because you don't want it clashing with food smells.
He says the best place for one is right by your FRONT DOOR, so people who visit get hit with a nice smell when they walk in. Then it fades, so it's not too strong everywhere else.

Let's face it we're all becoming our parents whether we like it or not.
(there's even a funny ad campaign about it)
In a new poll, 27% of Americans say they're worried they're becoming their parents . . . and the average person first realizes they act like their parents at 30 years old.
The survey also asked which "travel habits" people are worried they picked up from their parents, and the top five were:
Getting to the airport way too early . . . forgetting something at home . . . wanting to find the gate before doing anything else . . . going to the bathroom right before or during flight boarding . . . and "making friends" at the airport.

Ford is trying to patent a system they developed that would automatically report speeding vehicles to the police. Not the Ford vehicles themselves . . . but they'd use their onboard cameras to snitch on OTHER drivers.
An equipped Ford vehicle could send a report with speed data and pictures directly to law enforcement and roadside monitoring units. The cops would also get GPS info to help track the offender.

Today's Useless Fact of the Day - The guy who invented Velcro got the idea when he was walking his dog in the woods and saw how burrs were clinging to its fur.
