Paramount+ revealed a first look at Kelsey Grammer's return to his beloved role as Frasier Crane in the reboot of NBC's "Frasier." The 10-episode season will premiere Oct. 12 with two episodes, followed by new episodes streaming each Thursday. Those first two episodes will also air on CBS Oct. 17 (9:15 EDT/PDT). 9:15????? and why not run the whole show on the network..what else you got with the strike???

After appearing on "Cheers" as the pompous psychiatrist Crane, Grammer shifted to the spinoff sitcom, which ran for 11 seasons from 1993 to 2004 and remains TV's most Emmy-winning comedy, with 37, including four for Grammer.

A rare spotless giraffe was born recently at Brights Zoo in Tennessee. The last known spotless giraffe was born in Japan in 1972. Starting Tuesday, the zoo is letting the public vote on its name.

People can submit their picks on the zoo's Facebook page through Labor Day. The choices are:

1. Kipekee, meaning unique

2. Firali, meaning unusual or extraordinary

3. Shakiri, meaning she is most beautiful

4. Jamella, meaning one of great beauty

National Cheap Flight Day . . . supposedly the BEST day to buy. Some people say it's just a lot of hype though.

It's been a thing since 2015. A site called CheapOair says that according to their data, holiday plane tickets tend to hit rock bottom today. And that's not totally baseless.

Prices do usually start dropping in June, and keep going down through most of August. So now IS a good time to buy for a lot of us.

But experts say there isn't really one "best" day. Cheap Flight Day is just based on the overall average, and it really depends on when and where you're flying.

In general, the best prices tend to be one to three months before you fly. Or two to eight months if you're flying to another country.

Just don't wait until the last minute and expect to find crazy deals a WEEK before you fly. According to one expert, deals like that used to be a thing but "basically don't exist anymore."

Remember about a year ago there was a viral video going around about a guy at a baseball game poking a hole through a hot dog and then using it as a straw to drink his beer?

People were divided: Is it brilliant, or just gross? Meanwhile, the folks at Oscar Mayer were taking notes . . . and are now making hot dog straws in tribute.

They're giving away a limited number each day between now and September 5th. You have to fill out a form online. If it says they're out, you have to try again tomorrow.

To be clear, it's not a REAL hot dog like the one in the video. It's made of soft silicone and just looks like a hot dog . . . so you can gross people out without actually being gross.

They announced it by having the same fan recreate the video, but with their fake hot dog straw instead of a real one.

They said in a statement, quote, "While the viral 'Hot Dog Straw' divided the internet, we salute the brave man who paved the way to enjoy his hot dog as he wishes."

Most "porch pirates" will lurk around . . . run up to the porch . . . steal a package . . . and run off. But this guy had a totally different idea.

A man in Georgia named Robin Swanger stole a neighbor's porch from the front yard . . . the WHOLE PORCH. It isn't quite what it sounds like though.

The property owner had removed the home from the lot, and had left the porch behind . . . but it wasn't "up for grabs." The porch was on private property with "no trespassing" signs.

It was large . . . about eight-feet by 10-feet . . . and was valued at $3,000.

As the cops were closing in on Robin, the police were called to his home on an allegation of domestic abuse. He was fighting with his wife, and was throwing rocks at the house. It's unclear if he was standing on the porch while doing this.

Robin was charged with two counts of domestic violence, and felony theft for the stolen porch. The porch has been returned.

Today's Useless Fact of the Day - Nevada is the only state where you can buy alcohol any hour of the day. There's no designated time that bars must close . . . so there's no mandated "last call."
