Celebrate National Radio Day!!! (hey..that's me) Several inventors participated in the invention of the radio in the late 1800s. Amazingly, not just one person can be credited with its beginning. Instead, each component developed through invention and discovery. As these technologies converged, the radio came to life.
In Germany, Heinrich Hertz’s research proved electricity could be transmitted wirelessly. Elsewhere, the prolific inventor Nicola Tesla patented multiple inventions. He provided the radio with the Tesla coil. Born in Croatia, Tesla also contributed many patents involving alternating current. Not only did Tesla make the radio possible, but he also advanced the science and production of numerous other inventions. However, when it comes to the first commercially available wireless, Italian, Guglielmo Marconi receives the honor.
Also Chocolate Pecan Pie Day.

A study found eight in 10 adults are creatures of habit — eating an identical breakfast every day, sticking to the same style of clothing, and even insisting on using the same mug. Four in ten go to bed at the same time each night and 56 percent sleep on the same side of the mattress every night. (wait..don't people have a side?)

Time to make you cringe. According to a survey the six words women hate the most are moist, squirt, panties, chunky, curd and flap.

Do you hate doing some chores so much that you’d fake an illness, or worse, screw up so badly that your significant wouldn’t ask you to do them again? That sounds lazy and selfish, but 28 percent of men and 21 percent of women say they’ve put effort into getting out of doing chores. The most-hated chores are, in order, washing dishes/cleaning the kitchen; doing laundry; cleaning the bathroom; vacuuming; cooking meals and shopping for groceries.
Just do it all wrong and you'll never have to do it again! (good strategy...well not really)

Sheldon on Big Bang Theory might have had a point!
In a new survey, two-thirds of Americans say they do have unofficial, "assigned" seating in their homes. And most of those people say they're very passionate about their "spot." In fact, 55% would feel "uncomfortable" sitting anywhere else.
A lot of that is probably just routine, but 63% say they actually associate "positive memories" with particular areas or pieces of furniture.
These numbers are backed up by another recent poll, where 63% of people said that when they eat dinner at home, they generally sit in the same place. Only 18% said they did not.
14% said they either don't have a table or they don't have anyone to eat with.

Gov Abbot will never know..he's recovering from COVID. A school district in Texas has announced an amendment to their dress code, reportedly requiring face masks for all members, ahead of the school’s reopening on Thursday.
An announcement issued on the website of the Paris Independent School District (PISD) on Tuesday pointed out Greg Abbott’s recent executive order doesn’t allow his office to “usurp the Board of Trustees’ executive power”.
The Texas governor’s executive order, issued last month, had said no governmental institution, including schools, could not require anyone to wear masks.
The small school district made the announcement on its website, citing its concerns for the health and safety of its students. The city of Paris, with a population of about 25,000, currently has almost 3,000 confirmed Covid-19 cases.
