In a new survey on brands, people were asked what they'd give up in exchange for a LIFETIME SUPPLY of their favorite brand's products or services.
40% said they'd give up social media for a month . . . 39% would agree to do household chores for a year . . . and 36% would "run a marathon." 33% would shave off all their hair, or break up with a romantic partner.
So some people will give up Facebook for a month for a lifetime supply of Ragu or Hostess snacks or something . . . and some people will apparently LEAVE THEIR SPOUSE.
But brand relationships can be fickle too. 54% of consumers say they'd stop using a brand after just one bad experience . . . although that's more common with Millennials, who may not be as entrenched with a brand.

A woman in Canada named Angela Chalmers woke up Monday and found an intruder had broken into her house, and was sleeping on the sofa. Naturally, she ran upstairs and called 911.
But she says the dispatcher was NOT helpful. They told her that the police were "really busy," and asked if she'd mind going back downstairs and try to wake the intruder up herself.
It's unclear what the operator expected her to do after that, but Angela refused.
The police arrived 20 minutes later, and woke the man up. He became aggressive, and it took FOUR COPS to drag him out of the house. The police say they are providing "feedback" to the dispatcher who handled the call.

An Alaska Airlines flight from Washington D.C. to San Francisco was about to take off on Monday, when it returned to the gate because the two pilots were FIGHTING.
Passengers say one pilot got on the intercom and explained that they were heading back due to a, quote, "failure to get along." It's unclear what they were arguing about. A rep for Alaska Airlines said the captain and first officer had a "professional disagreement."
Once they were back at the gate, one pilot BOOKED IT off the plane. The passengers were forced to deplane, while the airline found a replacement.
Overall, the flight was delayed two-and-a-half hours . . . but half of that was a previous delay due to bad weather. Alaska reportedly gave passengers a flight credit of $175 for the inconvenience.

She has been accepted into Heersink School of Medicine at the University of Alabama. She graduated from high school last year, and has already completed two-and-a-half years of college.

This is the coolest thing we've come across on the internet in a while: It's an open-source artificial intelligence called CRAIYON, which will "draw" pretty much anything you want in about two minutes.
It produces nine graphics based on what it "learns" online. Some of the images it creates look realistic . . . others look like silly Photoshopping . . . and others come out looking kind of dark and twisted.
You can do something simple like "Batman drinking a lemonade," or something absurd like "An elderly woman slapping a fox in the dead of winter."

Today's Useless Fact of the Day - Giraffes and humans have the same number of vertebrae in their necks: seven. The only difference is that each vertebra in a giraffe is about 10 inches long.
