Spoonerism Day - William Archibald Spooner was born on today's date in 1844. He studied at Oxford University and went on to lecture there for 60 years, focusing on philosophy, divinity, and history. He also was an Anglican priest. Because of his intellect, his speech often did not keep up with his thought process. That, along with his bad eyesight, contributed to him often saying phrases that were different than the ones he intended. With these slips of the tongue, which became known as "spoonerisms," the initial consonant sounds in some words are reversed. One of his most famous was "It is kisstomary to cuss the bride," which he apparently said while performing a wedding ceremony for a couple.

Last week, we found out that you can skirt the TSA's three-ounce liquid rule, by bringing on WHOLE COCONUTS. They are allowed on planes, and they can hold up to 34 ounces of fresh coconut water.
Now, the "New York Post" has listed 11 other liquid-y things that are allowed.
They are: Over-the-counter medications . . . prescription medication in gel, aerosol, or liquid . . . fresh eggs . . . live fish transported in water . . .
Wet batteries . . . biological specimens . . . breast milk or formula for infants . . . teethers filled with liquid . . . freezer or ice packs for medically necessary items . . . food or drinks for toddlers and babies . . . and sealed, duty-free items.
You can also bring any frozen liquids . . . but they must be completely frozen solid to meet TSA's requirement, not partially melted or slushy.
