7/2/21 It's a Watertower Baby!

Friday 7/2/21

Celebrate National Anisette Day. (what?) It's a liqueur derived from aniseed on National Anisette Day. Aniseed from the anis herb gives anisette its licorice or fennel flavor. While usually a dry, dry liqueur, distillers sometimes add a sugar syrup for a sweeter result. Spain, Italy, Portugal, and France lead the world in drinking this licorice-tasting drink.

Ed Sheeran has revealed on James Corden's The Late Late Show, there's a prank he keeps playing on pal Courteney Cox, who he stays with whenever he's in Los Angeles.

It all goes back to a time when Cox proudly showed off one of her household gadgets to Sheeran, who soon realised he could use the power of modern technology to his advantage.

He told Corden: "She has this Alexa thing in her house, and she goes, 'Ed, isn't this wonderful? This is my Alexa. I can just order whatever on this.'

"So she walks out of the room and I go, 'Alexa, order me a gimp mask.'"

Hilariously, the first mask that Sheeran ordered was initially discovered by Cox's assistant, who discreetly left it out for her boss without saying anything.

The singer explained: "She opened the post and she finds this mask, and instantly goes, 'Oh, I don't think I was meant to see that,' and leaves it on Courteney's bed.

"And Courteney comes up and she's like, 'Where did this come from?'"

Sheeran continued: "Now every time I go back there, I order her another.

"She has maybe, like, 12. I hide them in people's bedrooms. So they'll go in the drawer and they'll just find this leather S&M mask."

Meghan McCain is leaving "The View," and the reason why is absolutely because of a series of nasty back-and-forths with her cohosts ... TMZ has confirmed.

Sources tell TMZ ... Meghan felt it was too hard for her being the only conservative voice on the show and it had become too challenging, as she felt she was getting ganged up on every day.

We're told McCain will address her departure Thursday on the show. It's unclear exactly what reason she'll give the audience for her departure, but make no mistake ... it's about the politics. Remember, she gave birth to a daughter back in September, so it's possible she may also mention wanting to spend more time with her baby girl.

she's staying through the end of July when the season ends.
