A Gorgosaurus skeleton with immaculate bone structure is going up for auction later this month, Sotheby’s said yesterday. It’s not a T. rex (more of a shirt-tail cousin), but you can probably leave out that small detail as your astonished dinner party guests badger you about your new addition to the foyer.
This fossilized skeleton, which measures nearly 10 feet tall and 22 feet long, is the only one in private ownership, with all other Gorgosaurus skeletons being housed in museums. Plus, it’s a trendsetter: The dinosaur lived in Montana millions of years before it was cool to move there.
The presale estimate for the dinosaur skeleton is between $5 million and $8 million, the AP reports

Self-esteem must skyrocket as we age . . . or we just lose touch with reality. Because this seems higher than you'd expect.
A dating app for seniors called OurTime polled a bunch of people 50 and up, and asked how old they were when they felt the SEXIEST. The average answer was 53 years old.
40% said they've stopped worrying what other people think of them. So that probably has something to do with it.
41% also said they're more confident about their looks now than they used to be.

A survey found we have to tell our kids "NO" an average of 23 times a day, or 8,400 times a year. Here are the most common questions parents say no to . . .
1. "Can I stay up late?"
2. "Can I have a snack before bed?"
3. Asking to buy something random every time you're at a store.
4. More screen time in general.
5. "Can't I just do my homework later?"
6. Using their phone, computer, or iPad in bed.
7. Watching R-rated movies.
8. Using their phone at meal times.
9. Snacking in between meals.
10. Playing outside at night.
The requests we have the hardest time saying no to involve snacking between meals . . . climbing in bed with you . . . and putting off homework.
Kids shouldn't complain too much though. The poll also found parents say "YES" an average of 24 times a day . . . one more time than they say "no."

We've officially got too much going on, because this is NOT enough downtime: A new poll found the average American only feels truly relaxed for 40 minutes a day. And 47% said even less than that.
We ARE trying to take better care of ourselves though. Since the pandemic started, 72% of people say they've paid more attention to self-care.
The most common things we do to feel better about ourselves or relax include exercising . . . going on walks . . . reading . . . watching TV . . . and listening to music.

Have you ever discovered a band before they got popular? Then when they DID get popular, you felt superior. Like everyone who just found them is a second-class citizen?
Someone polled 2,000 people and asked how they feel when that happens. Are you happy, or just ANNOYED they're jumping on the bandwagon and stealing your thing?
It turns out most of us ARE okay with it. We're four times more likely to say we're happy about it in general. 49% said mostly pleased . . . only 12% said annoyed . . . and everyone else didn't know, or said it depends.

Today's Useless Fact of the Day - Lake Superior contains 10% of the world's freshwater. It's the size of South Carolina and contains 2,900 cubic miles of water.
The Great Lakes have about 21% of the world's supply of surface fresh water and 84% of North America's surface fresh water.
