A Las Vegas man who works as a sideshow artist broke a pair of eye-popping Guinness World Records using the strength of his eye sockets.

Andrew Stanton appeared on Italian TV series Lo Show Dei Record in Milan and took on the records for the heaviest weight pulled with eye sockets and the heaviest weight lifted with both eye sockets while swallowing a sword. (are you kidding me??)

For the first title, Stanton attached large metal hooks to his eye sockets and used them to pull a Cadillac and driver -- totaling 5,319.75 pounds -- across the TV show's stage.

He became the first holder of the second title by swallowing his sword and using the hooks in his eye sockets to lift his 129.63-pound assistant.

If you already feel like you need a nap, get in line.  A poll found we spend almost 1,500 hours a year feeling tired.

The average is four hours a day, or 1,460 hours a year.  Around a third of people said even MORE than that.

58% of us will avoid people or social interactions because we're too tired . . . 34% have skipped an event . . . 27% have canceled plans with friends . . . and a third of us "often" or "always" feel tired even after a good night's sleep.

33% of people said they usually try to just push through it and keep going.  The #1 reason they gave was . . . you just kinda have to, or nothing gets done.

Most of us aren't pretending we're wide awake though.  The poll found the average American will say "I'm tired" out loud three times today.

Happy Piña Colada Day!  A survey for it found almost everyone thinks it's a relaxing drink option, but ONLY on vacation.  Not a lot of us are unwinding with one at the end of a long workday.

60% say a tropical drink puts them in a "vacation state of mind."  But just 35% would order a piña colada when NOT on vacation.  So it really is a vacation drink.

The poll was done by Hilton because they invented piña coladas in the 1950s.  Or, one of their bartenders supposedly came up with the recipe we use today.

A ton of cocktail books mentioned the drink as far back as the 1920s.  But a bartender named Ramón Marreno came up with the "official" recipe for a blended one at a Hilton resort in Puerto Rico in 1954.

The poll also asked about the song, and there are more than a few piña colada HATERS out there.  Given the option, 82% would take a piña colada . . . while 18% would prefer "getting caught in the rain."

On the list of things you don't want to leave at the scene of a crime, this is up there . . .

A man and woman in Boston had dinner at a place in Chinatown last weekend and tried to dine and dash.

The woman was 24-year-old Zaire Alexander.  After they ate, she went to the bathroom, and the guy walked out. Then she started to walk out too. And when employees tried to stop her, she pulled a GUN . . . a pink Glock.

She pointed it at an older employee, who wrestled the gun away, and Zaire took off.  But police were quickly able to I.D. her because she left her Social Secutiry Card behind. It sounds like she dropped it during the scuffle. (who carries theirs around all the time??)

She turned herself in the next day.  She's facing charges for carrying a loaded firearm, carrying a firearm without a license, unlawful possession of ammunition, assault and battery on an elderly person, and defrauding an innkeeper.

It's not clear if the guy she was with is facing charges too.

A bunch of garden gnomes went missing last month from a guy's yard in the Canadian city of Kelowna.  (kell-OH-nuh)  But they weren't stolen.  A secretive group that calls itself the "Gnome Restoration Society" fixed them up and returned them all.

Have you seen the "Rock, Paper, Scissors Challenge" on TikTok yet?  You and another person put a bunch of food out, and whoever loses has to go for a quick run while the other person eats.

You keep doing it until all the food is gone, or someone pukes, or you choke to death from running with a mouth full of food.

As of Monday, Target will no longer accept personal checks. If this affects your shopping experience, you're going to relate to most of today's list of the . . . Things Writing a Check in 2024 Says About You.

I think Venmo is a type of electric vehicle.

My world was rocked when Pat Sajak left "Wheel of Fortune".

My car has a giant hood ornament.

I consider stairs an existential danger.

I enjoy making people in line behind me sigh.

My iPhone font is set to the largest option.

Today’s Useless Fact of the Day - Coca-Cola was offered the chance to buy Pepsi three times between 1922 and 1933, and they turned it down every time.
