Happy National Egg Day! (Well Yesterday)
A recent poll found our favorite way to eat them is scrambled, and it's not close. 45% said scrambled, and 24% said fried. Hard-boiled is next at 8%, then poached and soft-boiled round out the top five. Only 6% of Americans say they never eat eggs.
Here are a few more stats for National Egg Day . . .
1. How do you crack an egg, on the edge of a bowl or on a flat surface? Of the people who answered, 63% said edge . . . 26% said flat surface . . . and 11% said "some other way," like with a knife.
Flat surface is almost twice as popular with young people. It's supposed to be better for keeping pieces of the shell out.
2. White eggs or brown eggs? 67% usually buy white, 20% said brown, and 13% said it varies or they don't buy eggs.
There's no real difference and White ones generally come from hens with white feathers, and brown eggs from brown feathers.
3. Which came first, the chicken or the egg? 10,000 Americans were polled: 44% said chicken . . . 32% said egg . . . and 24% still can't decide.

You'll soon be able to enjoy "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood" 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The FREE streaming service Pluto TV is launching a channel sometime this month.
"Mister Rogers" aired from 1968 to 2001, so there are plenty of episodes to fill the time: 912, including specials, to be exact.

A recent Reddit thread asked about the most "UNDERRATED SKILLS" that everyone should learn. And there are some good ones.
1. First Aid . . . including life-saving basics like CPR and the Heimlich maneuver
2. How to swim . . . not just for exercise or recreation, but also as a life skill
3. Cooking . . . "not only is it healthier, but you save a lot of money as well"
4. Basic home and car maintenance
5. How to unclog a toilet . . . and how not to clog a toilet in the first place
6. Sewing
7. Spelling . . . It's more "underrated" now, because our devices automatically clean things up
8. How to read a nutrition label
9. How to safely operate a firearm
10. How to tell an interesting story.
And someone else said, "How to scram during an awkward silence."
That was probably tongue-in-cheek, but reading social cues is important, both OFFLINE and ONLINE.
Some people took it a little more broadly, suggesting skills like: "Learning how to say NO" . . . "Being patient" . . . and "the ability to spot and avoid toxic people."
