Tau Day - In 2001, Bob Palais published π Is Wrong, where he said pi (π) should not be used for the circle constant—the geometry of a circle expressed in a single number. Instead, he called for tau (τ), which is equal to 2π, or roughly 6.28318, to be used instead.

From USA Today - It's Mr. Happy Face! A bunch of hideous dogs got together in California to compete for the title of World's Ugliest Dog.
I'm sure they're nice. Here's the one crowned ugliest pup: Meet Mr. Happy Face, a 17-year-old Chinese Crested who fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down.

Never thought I would hear this, but there's a vinyl record shortage.
The arrival of the compact disc nearly killed off record albums, with vinyl pressing machines sold, scrapped and dismantled by major record labels.
Four decades later, with resuscitated record album sales producing double-digit annual growth, manufacturers are rapidly rebuilding an industry to keep pace with sales that reached $1 billion last year.
Dozens of record-pressing factories have been built to try to meet demand in North America — and it’s still not enough.
Demand for vinyl records has been growing in double-digits for more than a decade and mass merchandisers like Target were bolstering their selection of albums just as the pandemic provided a surprising jolt. With music tours canceled, and people stuck at home, music lovers began snapping up record albums at an even faster pace.

A Canadian ketchup brand has launched an unusual twist on a popular summer treat: Ketchup-flavored popsicles.
The "Frenchsicle," a unique offering from French's Ketchup, is available in select pop-up locations until Thursday, according to a news release from French's.
The popsicle was created in collaboration with Happy Pops, a Canadian ice pops brand focused on natural, gluten-free ingredients.
The savory tomato flavor of the popsicles comes from 100 percent Canadian tomatoes, says the news release.
And the flavor combination will also benefit an important cause. "For every Frenchsicle given away, French's will donate two meals to Food Banks Canada to address food insecurity in Canada," says the release.

Lots of reaction to the Supreme Court ruling over the weekend, and on Saturday, L.A. photographer Michael Ade uploaded an Instagram video of LAPD officers shoving “Full House” star Jodie Sweetin - she played Stephanie - on a ramp beside the 101 freeway. Sweetin and thousands of others were out protesting the SCOTUS decision, and Sweetin said of the incident on Sunday, “Our activism will continue until our voices are heard and action is taken. This will not deter us, we will continue fighting for our rights. We are not free until ALL of us are free.”
Seems when she got up she didn't say "How Rude"...I am disappointed.

Today's Useless Fact of the Day - It was June 27th in 1778, that the Liberty Bell was returned to Philadelphia. The bell was hidden in Allentown, Pennsylvania during the British occupation of Philadelphia to prevent it from being used for munitions.
