Celebrity voices on Alexa are going away.
Voices of stars like actress Melissa McCarthy, actor Samuel L. Jackson or retired NBA star Shaquille O'Neal that have been around since 2019 will stop soon.
"After three years, we're winding down celebrity voices," an Amazon spokesperson told Variety. "Customers will be able to continue using these voices for a limited time, and can contact our customer service team for a refund." It's not clear what Amazon decided to pull the plug now.

I mentioned yesterday that Top Gun: Maverick was the biggest Memorial Day Weekend Opening and is experiencing perhaps one of the most historic runs in film history, In Japan. The movie premiered May 27, 2022 and according to Deadline, and in Japan it is still playing in theaters.
The project became Tom Cruise's most successful in Japan and was re-released after the film raked up six Oscar nods. So far, Maverick has raked in nearly $1.5 billion, with over $100 million in Japan alone. Cruise has a chance to fly even higher with his next project Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, which is slated for a July release in the U.S.

Summer safety tip: Never leave sunglasses on your dashboard, or the resulting death ray could burn your car up.
A fire department in England posted a photo to show how it really can start a fire, just like burning stuff with a magnifying glass. They say it happened to someone's car this past Saturday.
It melted the entire dashboard, along with the top of their steering wheel. It looks like it even burned a big hole through their windshield.
To prevent it, make sure you keep sunglasses and any other reflective objects out of direct sunlight, especially as the days get warmer. That also includes water bottles.
A few years back, a video went viral that showed how even bottles can create a death ray and start a fire.

Gen Z's new favorite new term is "BED ROTTING," where you stay in bed all day and relax.
There's not much more to it than that. And there aren't many rules either. You can sleep, eat, watch TV, or just stare at the ceiling. The only rule is you're not allowed to feel GUILTY about it.
The terms "bed rotting" and "bed rot" have been trending online. Videos about it have racked up over 300 MILLION combined views on TikTok.
It's appealing to young people for a few reasons: It doesn't cost anything . . . it's an easy topic to make a TikTok about . . . and if you have roommates or live at home, you're probably spending a lot of time in your room anyway.
But some people think Gen Z's obsession with "self-care" has gone far enough now . . . and maybe the next trend should be to get up and actually DO something.

Marvel finally gets to make its very own "Fantastic Four" movie, but they haven't announced a cast yet. It might have leaked though.
According to a rumor, Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic will be played by Adam Driver....wait...John Krasinski played him in the Dr. Strange Movie...can't we have him?????
Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman will be played by Margot Robbie.
Johnny Storm/ The Human Torch will be played by Paul Mescal. He's probably best known for the British series "Normal People" and the movies "The Lost Daughter" and "Aftersun".
And Benjamin Grimm/The Thing will be played by Daveed Diggs from "Hamilton" who's also the voice of Sebastian the crab in the new "Little Mermaid".

BuzzFeed asked its readers to list movie characters that shouldn't be glorified because they're actually toxic or controversial. Here are 10:
1. Dumbledore from the "Harry Potter" series. "He manipulated and used people, even literal children, especially poor Harry. Left him in an abusive home for the 'greater good.'"
2. Ferris Bueller from "Ferris Bueller's Day Off". "He's a slimy, manipulative liar and con artist. Probably went on to work at Enron. He is a perfect symbol of everything that went wrong with America."
3. Maui from "Moana". "He straight-up doomed the world for selfish reasons and attempted to murder a child on several occasions."
4. The Phantom from "The Phantom of the Opera". "He's not romantic. He's a creep."
5. Uncle Rico from "Napoleon Dynamite". "He's hilarious and accurate to somebody each of us knows, but he definitely is a bad person. A loser, mostly. Living in the past, trying to make money by manipulating emotions."
6. Tyler Durden from "Fight Club". "He's a misogynistic, controlling, manipulative sociopath."
7. Daniel Hillard (Mrs. Doubtfire) from "Mrs. Doubtfire". "If you think about the story with even an ounce of depth, his character is basically a nightmare stalker ex."
8. Allie from "The Notebook". "Allie is just as toxic as Noah. She hit him and screamed at him violently. If he did that, people would very much call it out."
9. Christian Grey from "Fifty Shades of Grey". "Just the abuse and the non-consensual stuff he did to Anastasia. If he wasn't rich and beautiful, that story would be a crime one."
10. Tony Montana from "Scarface". "He isn't a hero. He betrayed everybody close to him in his life. His best friend, sister, and wife all came second to power, greed, and materialism."
Also Kylo Ren, Westley from The Princess Bride, Scott Pilgrim, and Peter Quill..I mean Starlord made the list.

This is a good reason for a five-year-old to throw a tantrum, but not an adult: A 19-year-old woman was arrested at the Phoenix airport on Tuesday for attacking three TSA agents . . . because they wouldn't let her keep her APPLE JUICE.
Her name is Makiah Coleman. She was going through security around 6:00 A.M., when they apparently seized the juice because of their policy on liquids.
She flipped out and walked around a barrier to grab the bin with all her stuff in it. But they wouldn't let her, so she jumped on a table . . . hit a TSA agent in the head . . . and ripped his shirt.
When they tried to restrain her, she punched a female TSA agent and yanked her ponytail. Then she bit a third agent who tried to stop her.
Two agents ended up in the hospital, and 450 passengers were inconvenienced. Everyone had to go to a different checkpoint and line up all over again.
Makiah is facing charges for assault, criminal damage, disorderly conduct, and might be looking at fines too. You can get hit with up to $14,000 in fines for abusing a TSA agent.

Today's Useless Fact of the Day - Baker's chocolate wasn't always just for baking. "Baker's" is a brand, named after Dr. James Baker, who started importing beans and making chocolate in the 1760s. Eventually, Kraft bought it and made it baking chocolate only, to avoid confusion. (Cause there's nothing worse than thinking it's a nice chocolate bar and find out it's Baker's Chocolate! Yuck)
