Dolly Parton's change of heart was well-received by the powers that be at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame -- she's joining a diverse group of first-rounders ... including acts like Eminem.

The legendary country singer was announced as one of 7 artists who are going to be inducted into the Hall later this November.

The other musicians being let in on their first ballot ... Lionel Richie, Duran Duran, and Carly Simon. The other 2 artists who'll be inducted are new wave duo Eurythmics and Pat Benatar.

Kids today have no idea what a rotary phone is, or how to use one. Here's an over-the-top way to fix that: A website called Sky's Edge is selling a new rotary cell phone. But you can't just buy one . . . you have to build it yourself.

For all you young-uns, rotary phones are those weird boxy things with a wheel on the front. Everyone had one until push-button phones took over in the '80s and '90s.

The kit comes with everything you need to build it. And it's meant to be easy, so there's no soldering or gluing required. It comes in five colors: White, black, beige, red, and seafoam green. And it's got a brass bell built in, so it even sounds like a rotary phone. It also has more modern features, like a headphone jack . . . a USB-C charging port . . . a screen on the back to display texts . . . and a SIM card slot, so it works with most phone plans. But you can't browse the web or check social media.

A woman named Justine Haupt came up with it. She's a space engineer at Brookhaven National Laboratory in New York. And the idea briefly went viral two years ago as a way to have a phone without all the "digital distractions" that come with it.

She decided to sell them as DIY kits, because she thinks it's awful that no one understands how technology works anymore. We just want it to be intuitive.

You can pre-order at SkysEdge.com, and it'll ship by November in time for Christmas. They're not super-cheap though . . . each kit costs $390.

Tropicana just announced they've created the first breakfast cereal that you're supposed to pour ORANGE JUICE on instead of milk.

It's called Tropicana Crunch. They say it's a "honey and almond" cereal that's "granola-style," because flakes would get too soggy too fast. In the picture they posted, it kind of looks like Honey Bunches of Oats without the corn flakey bits.

They say they experimented with all kinds of flavors and textures, and came up with the PERFECT cereal to eat with O.J. The honey and almond flavors are supposed to counteract the tartness of the juice.

It was available on TropicanaCrunch.com the other day. Will it ever go national?

Despite the hype, even Tropicana admits you might not like it. Their site describes it as "the first cereal made for O.J. . . . and maybe the LAST."

They claim there are people out there who already prefer orange juice on their cereal though, so maybe there's a market for it.

Today's Useless Fact of the Day - Only two states have never had a temperature over 100 degrees: Alaska and . . . Hawaii, believe it or not. All the rest have hit at least 104.
