Someone posted a label from a bottle of pancake syrup, and it went viral for this warning on the back: Quote, "Do not freeze, and keep away from TRACTOR and sun."
Naturally, people are confused about why it should be kept away from tractors. One person joked, "How quickly we forget. Doesn't anyone remember the Great Tractor Syrup Tragedy of 1963?"
But it turns out there IS an explanation. The product is from the United Arab Emirates, and there's Arabic on the label. It's also translated into English, and it was a BAD TRANSLATION.
It was SUPPOSED to say "keep away from HEAT" . . . not tractors. The difference between those words is one small dot in Arabic.

We've all heard or seen the memes - "I was today years old when I learned [blank]."
People on social media are talking about the things they say they learned "embarrassingly late" . . . and here are some of the best revelations:
"That pumpkin spice does not actually taste like pumpkin."
"In my 20s, I thought there was just red wine and white. I tried to order white wine, and I was confused when the waiter asked which one."
"That carrot cake is really made with carrots. I thought it was just called that because they piped a little carrot on the top, and you ate it around Easter."
"I thought roadside memorials were actual graves."
"That POW MIA wasn't pronounced phonetically as 'pow-me-ah.'"
"I was 27 when I realized that 'Hump Day' referred to the middle of the week, and NOT the day everyone humps. When someone would say 'Happy Hump Day' at the office, I'd think, 'I'm pretty sure you can't say that here.'"
"That a quart is a quarter of a gallon."
"I thought the term 'birthday suit' meant an outfit you're literally supposed to wear on your birthday."
"I thought 'cattle' was a separate species of cow until like grad school."
"That Rhode Island isn't an island. I learned that at 53 years old."

Tripadvisor released its 2024 Summer Travel Index, and it examined U.S. summer travel trends to determine the top destinations. Las Vegas, Nevada, is the place to be this summer.
Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
Orlando, Florida
Honolulu, Hawaii
New York City, New York
Chicago, Illinois
Key West, Florida
Ocean City, Maryland
San Diego, California
Boston, Massachusetts
Two Western national parks are getting lots of love this upcoming travel season, with California’s Yosemite National Park taking the top slot, as well as Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming.
One of the fastest-growing domestic destinations is Sandusky Ohio. That's where the amusement park Cedar Point is.

In case you were wondering whether life would be better with a seeing-eye donkey, the answer is yes. Meet Petey, he's a one-year-old donkey that acts as the eyes for his family's blind horse named Luna.
Every morning Petey guides Luna out of the barn. He makes small noises when he enters her stall so he doesn't disturb her. Then he gently nips at Luna's blanket, which tells the blind horse that it's time to go outside.
And once Luna starts to move out to the grass, Petey stays at her side to make sure she doesn't bump into anything.
And then the video says, "Petey will stick by her side throughout the day."
The internet collectively agreed that Petey is the "bestest boy" and we all could use someone like him in our life.
If only everyone was as helpful as Petey!

The Coffee news today, I think I touched on this before, but the New York Times wrote about "caffeine delay."
he idea that it's better to wait an hour or two before your first cup of coffee.
A ton of influencers claim you'll get a bigger energy boost if you wait, and it might be true. But is it worth it? According to experts, only if you want to limit yourself to ONE cup of coffee a day.
Caffeine works by binding to receptors in your brain and blocking a chemical that makes you drowsy called adenosine.
Your adenosine levels are at their lowest right after you wake up, so there's less of it to block. That's why an immediate cup of coffee might not do as much as it would when you're dragging later in the day.
But for most people, there's no harm in having a second cup of coffee later. You'll still get that bigger boost. Plus, just the THOUGHT of coffee helps some people wake up. So if that first sip is what gets you out of bed in the morning, go for it.
Delaying could also be dangerous for some people, since a lot of us don't get enough sleep and rely on caffeine. If you wait, you might not be as alert on your drive to work.

Today’s Useless Fact of the Day - There are four state capitals named after presidents:
Jackson, Mississippi
Lincoln, Nebraska
Jefferson City, Missouri
Madison, Wisconsin.
Washington D.C. is obviously named after a president too. (but not a state)
