The actual bar from the set of "Cheers" hit the auction block recently in Dallas, Texas, and George Wendt and John Ratzenberger got together to sit at it and say goodbye.
The bar includes the counter in three sections with brass railings, the burgundy barstools, and the back bar unit.
It's also autographed by several of the stars. Both Ratzenberger and the late Kirstie Alley actually carved their names into it. The current bid on the bar is $100,000.
George says the cast still gets together, but not all at once. Quote, "We catch each other in bits and pieces. It's kind of hard. It's like herding cats trying to get us all together."

A 20-year-old man in Chicago robbed two Subway restaurants last Wednesday.
The first one apparently went smoothly . . . but at the second one, he almost botched it. He demanded, quote, "all the bread" . . . and the cashier asked him to clarify what kind of "bread" he wanted. The thief made a gesture like he had a gun, and the cashier gave him the cash from the register.
The police caught him and arrested him about 35 minutes later.
Turns out, the guy was out on bail after allegedly robbing a wireless store two weeks earlier. His public defender said he had three job interviews lined up for various fast-food restaurants.

Time to go to the Dog Park, for those of you that are not part of Night Vale because dogs and people are not allowed in the dog park, nor is acknowledging the existence of it. It is implied time moves differently within the dog park, and that it possibly occupies another dimension.
Do not even look at the dog park! (check out the Night Vale podcast for details on this.)
Anyway,
A dog park in Montreal, Canada posted a sign that bans . . . BARKING. It says, "It's forbidden to let your dog bark, whine, or howl." And if your dog barks, YOU could face fines between, $370 and $1,475.
Naturally, dog owners are angry and confused about the new sign. A city spokesperson said that it's a reminder about an existing by-law . . . related to controlling domestic animals in public.
It sounds like neighbors complained that the park was too noisy, and the sign was put up to "reduce the nuisance." But it's unclear how they'll enforce the rule . . . in a fair enough way to fine people that much money.
For what it's worth, reporters talked to several dog owners at the dog park, and they said that regardless of the intent . . . this makes the dog park STRESSFUL, and not fun.
Also, while they were interviewing people . . . dogs were constantly barking in the background.

The Social Security Administration just revealed the most popular baby names from last year. And the big news is not much has changed.
The top ten lists for boys and girls are almost identical to the previous year. But one new name did crack the top ten for girls.
Liam was #1 for boys again. The top ten are: Liam . . . Noah . . . Oliver . . . James . . . Elijah . . . William . . . Henry . . . Lucas . . . Benjamin . . . and Theodore.
Olivia was #1 for girls again. The top ten are: Olivia . . . Emma . . . Charlotte . . . Amelia . . . Sophia . . . Isabella . . . Ava . . . Mia . . . Evelyn . . . and finally, LUNA.
Luna is the only new name on either list. It's Latin for "Moon", and Americans are VERY into it right now. Fun fact: According to the American Kennel Club, it was also the top name for female DOGS last year.

You've heard it takes 21 days to make a new habit stick. But if you're on Day 20, we've got some tough news. A study found it's not really true.
Researchers at Caltech looked into it, and found there's not really a one-size-fits-all answer like that. They say the "21" number isn't based on any science. How long it takes depends on what the habit is, and other factors like your personality.
They looked at two different habits to see how long it took for each one to stick: Hand-washing, and going to the gym on a regular basis.
3,000 hospital workers had to get into the habit of washing their hands more. And that one only took a few weeks to catch on.
But they also tracked 30,000 people who signed up for gym memberships. And they had to keep going an average of SIX MONTHS before it became a habit. So tougher habits require more patience.
It took even longer than that for some people. One big factor was how long it had been since the LAST time they went to the gym. So if you haven't worked out in years, you might have to keep pushing yourself for a while.

Today’s Useless Fact of the Day - When "The Simpsons" debuted in 1989, Bart was nine and Homer was 36. If the characters actually aged, Bart would be older today than Homer was then, and Homer would be a Boomer.
