Mother's Day is on Sunday, and if you STILL don't have anything planned, maybe this will help guide you . . .

A new survey of moms asked about their favorite ways to spend their free time.

The activity that ranked FIRST is watching movies or TV shows. That was just ahead of catching up on sleep . . . and doing personal care, like taking a long bath.

Out of the seven activities listed in the survey, the thing that moms like the LEAST is going out to eat.  So maybe that's good news if you haven't nailed down a reservation for Sunday yet.

Going shopping and spending time with family and friends also ranked at the bottom of the list.

A mom from Indiana is in the news after arguing grandmothers should NOT be celebrated this Sunday.  She sets aside a different day for her mom and mother-in-law, and her family has the same rule for Father's Day.

They started doing it after her first Mother's Day was too hectic.  She had to coordinate grandparent visits and didn't get to relax.

Her argument is she's the one who's "deep into the mothering right now," and ACTIVE moms should get their own day.  More than a few people online agree with her . . . and more than a few don't.

In a new poll, people were asked about their family life growing up . . . and for MANY of us, our mothers were more involved in our home life.

79% of people were raised by a mother and a father . . . compared to 14% who were raised by a single mother, and 1% who were brought up by a single father.

Among people who had two parents at home, 49% said their mother was most involved in their daily activities.  35% said both parents equally . . . and 7% said it was mainly their father.

72% said their mother was most involved in housework.  19% said both parents equally . . . and 4% said it was mainly their father.

40% said their mother helped them more with their homework.  20% said both parents equally . . . and 12% said it was mainly their father.

35% said they turned to their mother more for advice.  Another 35% said both parents equally . . . and 16% said they usually turned to their father.

And 38% said they were closer to their mother.  39% said they were equally close with both parents . . . and 16% said they were tighter with their father.

A survey of 2,000 Americans found the average person stops being "cool" at age 39.  That's when we tend to feel like we're out of touch and can't follow the trends.

49% overall said they generally don't know what's going on with pop culture.  That's Americans of all ages, not just older people.

They listed 10 different topics and asked how out of touch people feel about them.  Here are all 10 ranked . . .

1.  Slang.  It's the hardest thing to keep up with.  40% said they're completely out of touch with modern slang.  (Wow, IJBOL.)

2.  Celebrities, 35%.

3.  The arts, 34%.

4.  Fashion, 32%.

5.  Books, 32%.

6.  Technology, 26% feel out of touch with tech.

7.  Movies, 23%.

8.  Social media, 22%.  You've never used TikTok and wouldn't know how.

9.  Music.  Only 19% feel fully out of touch.

10.  Food.  Just 8% of us feel clueless about the latest food trends.

A new poll found the average person starts feeling aches and pains at age 37.  That's when your back starts barking and your knees start to buckle.

Back pain wasn't actually people's top complaint.  The top three spots where older Americans have pain right now are their legs, neck, and shoulders.

All those aches and pains are slowing us down too.  When we wake up sore, it takes us an average of seven extra minutes to get ready in the morning.

28% of Americans said they deal with some sort of chronic pain on a daily basis.  Less than a third said they've been totally pain-free over the past month.

22% of us would give up social media to feel fewer aches and pains . . . 18% would give up cheese . . . and 25% would give up coffee.

Justin and Hailey Bieber are having a baby!

The couple, who tied the knot in 2018, each shared a poignant video that featured them appearing to renew their marriage vows while standing in a gorgeous valley. The camera then pans down to focus on Hailey's growing baby bump.

A cool art installation opened in Manhattan this week called "The Portal".  It's a live feed to another portal in Dublin, Ireland, so you can see what people are up to, and they can see you.

Unfortunately, you can't walk through it and end up in Ireland.
