Monkey Man - Dev Patel's directing debut. Action thriller.

The First Omen - Horror film based on The Omen.

Once again, no one won the Powerball drawing making Saturday's drawing $1.23 Billion (Cash value $595.1 million) It is now the 4th largest Powerball jackpot. Ninth largest of all jackpots.

The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million, according to Powerball.

Getting struck by lightning  1 in 1,222,000

1 in 662,000 chance of reaching an Olympic podium.

Between 1 in 3,000 and 1 in 250,000 of being killed by a meteorite impact

Finding a four leaf clover - 1 in every 10,000 clovers

Bowling a perfect game - 1 in 460.

Cracking open a double-yolked egg - 1 in a 1000.

Catching a shiny Pokemon - 1 in 8,192. (sure...whatever)

Unprovoked shark attack killing you are about 1 in 3.7 million. If you don't live near a coast, your death-by-shark odds are 1 in 7 million. (so there's still a chance for us)

It seems the only thing that has worse odds is creating the perfect bracket for NCAA March Madness between 1 in 1.6 Billion to 9.2 Quintillion.

A team of researchers analyzed the results of 350,757 coin tosses to determine whether the results are truly 50/50, and found "fair" coins are slightly more likely to land the same way they started.

In other words, If you start heads-up, the coin is more likely to land heads-up and vice versa.

He said his team found that coins flipped into the air and caught in the hand had a 50.8% chance of landing on the same side they started from.

Bartoš said his team also found the odds varied slightly from flipper to flipper, with some coin flippers showing a clear bias toward same-side landings and others showing no bias at all. He said this can be explained by slight variations in flipping techniques.

A fifth "Matrix" movie is in the works, but there aren't any plot details yet.  Warner Brothers says the guy who wrote "Cloverfield" is writing and directing after proposing a "new idea" to continue the "Matrix" world.

It's still pretty early on, so there aren't any plot details yet, like if it'll be a direct sequel or have any returning characters.  There isn't even a potential release date.

An executive says, quote, "Drew came to [us] with a new idea that we all believe would be an incredible way to continue the 'Matrix' world, by both honoring what Lana and Lilly [Wachowski] began over 25 years ago . . .

It just so happens that it's the 25th anniversary of the first movie and it's playing at the mall this weekend.

There's a thing called "speech-fasting," where people try to avoid talking until noon. That's totally silent they're not even whispering.

Of course, not everyone can get away with this . . . AND keep their job.  Or their partner.

The idea isn't new . . . but it's going viral now because a European singer has been posting about it on social media.  She's a singer, so it makes more sense.  She says she's trying to "take care of her instrument."

But there's also some science behind it.  One study in 2005 linked prolonged periods of silence with dramatically lowered blood pressure.

It can also help to reduce levels of the stress hormone cortisol.  And, in mice, it has been shown to promote brain growth.

A 68-year-old woman in the U.K. passed away from breast cancer recently, and her funeral was held last month.  And the Grim Reaper showed up.

Seriously.  The woman's dying wish was to have a friend show up to the funeral dressed as the reaper . . . and point to people saying "you're next."

It was meant to be funny . . . NOT terrifying . . . so the family did pre-warn everyone, and a few people decided not to attend because of it.

The woman's daughter told the BBC, quote, "If you research the Grim Reaper, he transports the soul to where it's going, so he's not actually a bad person . . . she would be absolutely loving the attention her funeral is getting . . . it just showcases her personality and sense of humor."

Rescuers in Colorado saved two rock climbers, along with a cat.  One guy brought his cat along for the climb. Besides needing to be rescued, he says everything went fine. His cat Link was totally calm and even took a nap on the way up the cliff.

Some girl's sleep hack is blowing up on TikTok:  You wrap a sweatshirt around your entire head, and then wrap the arms under your chin to keep it on.

It could be good in a pinch if you don't have your sleep mask.  Some people claim it's BETTER than a sleep mask.

Today's Useless Fact of the Day -

One of the most popular slang terms in the 1800s was "My name is Haines" . . . which you'd say if you wanted to quickly end a conversation or leave a room.

Seems a gentleman not recognizing Thomas Jefferson and was railing on the president and his administration and acts, until they arrive at Jefferson's place and this conversation happened.

Haines - What is your name?

"Jefferson," said the President, blandly.

"The d___l! What, Thomas Jefferson?"

"Yes sir, Thomas Jefferson."

"President Thomas Jefferson?" continued the astonished Federalist.

"The same," rejoined Mr. Jefferson.

"Well, my name is Haines!" and putting spurs to his horse, he was out of hearing instantly.
