Instructions for Classic PBJ

Spread the peanut butter on one slice of bread.

Spread jelly or jam on the other slice of bread.

Put the two slices of bread together, with the peanut butter and jelly facing in.

If you'd like, you can slice the sandwich diagonally. If not, serve and enjoy!

WRONG!!!!

I agree with this Reddit poster -

Always spread the jelly first. This way, the knife is easy to clean before you go to spread the peanut butter. Almost impossible to do the other way around.

(this might be a wrong way)

Then there is always this way and it won't matter.

I refuse to contaminate either jar so I use a separate knife for each

Yesterday was the 20th birthday of Gmail!  Google announced it on April 1st, 2004 . . . and people initially thought it was an April Fools ‘Joke.

Google already had a history of pranking people on April Fools' Day.  In 2000, they posted a spinning wheel and said if you stared at it while thinking of a search term, Google could find it.  Instead, error messages popped up with things like, "Try again after removing hat, glasses, and shoes."

People thought the Gmail announcement was also fake, because it bragged about people getting ONE FULL GIGABYTE of storage.  That didn't seem possible in 2004, especially not for free.

It was enough to save over 13,000 emails when sites like Yahoo only had enough space to keep 50.  Plus, it made email truly searchable for the first time.

They announced it on April Fools' Day on purpose.  They knew people would think it was a joke, and that it would be good press when everyone found out it wasn't.

20 years later, there are roughly 1.8 Billion active Gmail accounts.

Some people have an unspoken rule where they only do an online gift registry for someone ONCE.  So there's no gift when that person in on their second, third, or eighth wedding.  But there's something else to consider.

There may be a new trend of people posting an online registry . . . for their DIVORCE.

The idea is that people can be financially vulnerable at the time of a split, and there's a good chance that they'll only have HALF their stuff . . . appliances, tools, furnishings, and other everyday supplies.  Or maybe even less.

Some people think it's a great idea, and argue it's even more helpful than providing newly married couples with stuff, since they may already have TWO versions of things, like coffee makers and couches, from their previous homes.

But others are NOT fans.  Some say they've already supported the marriage . . .  AND the pregnancies . . . and if it doesn't work out, that's the purpose of spousal support.  One person joked, "You broke it, you buy it."

A 105-year-old eclipse chaser is gearing up to see his 13th next week.  His name is Laverne Biser.  His first eclipse was in Maine in 1963.

He's traveled the world to see them, but won't have to go anywhere this time.  He lives in Fort Worth, Texas, so the "path of totality" is going right over his house.

A personal trainer raised money for charity and broke two world records by doing lunges across New York City.  He broke the record for most lunges in an hour, 2,825 . . . and "farthest distance traveled by lunge in one hour," 2.14 miles.

Some April Fools’ Jokes this year.

Hormel Chili is suggesting a solution to the legendary "double-dipping" issue with "Double Dippable Chips."  The chips have a perforation down the center, to make it easier to snap them into two even halves to allow for "double-dipping."

Heinz is reportedly placing small ketchup-dispensing billboards outside Chicago restaurants that don't serve Heinz.

One of the targets is supposedly McDonald's, which dropped the brand in 2013 after Heinz hired the CEO of Burger King.

Heinz is urging people to report other restaurants that don't serve the brand to SmackForHeinz.com, which goes live tomorrow.

BJ's claims it's debuting a weird spin on its signature Pizookie ice cream dessert:  The Pizickle Pizookie, featuring dill pickles.

That seems like an obvious joke, but they insist it's real . . . and that they're only serving it TODAY as a fun way to celebrate April Fools' Day.  They say that it will be available to guests dining in, or delivery through the BJ's app.

Krispy Kreme claims they're selling a dozen donuts for $4.01 on April Fools' Day.  It's legit, because you only get the deal with the purchase of another dozen at full price. If THAT was a prank, it would be super lame.

The $4.01 price is a reference to the date.

Fingerlakes.com didn’t disappoint with it’s article about the Eclipse Moth.

Scientists are quietly predicting tens of millions of a much less desirable visitor to emerge – Eclipse Moths – a visitor that hasn’t been seen in these parts since the year 1622.

With a voracious appetite and an average wingspan of nearly 6” these moths may end up being a far larger story than the eclipse itself. And as you might expect, tourism officials have done their best to keep this piece of the eclipse under the radar.

Best line - Intelligence: Likely the smartest of any insect ever studied. Most moths were able to spell Skaneateles on their first attempt.

One of the best, for the comments, is from Ocean City, MD - to explore familiar modern airport feature for famous boardwalk with 'moving sidewalk'.

Commercially known as Travelators or Automated Motorized People Movers (A.M.P.M.) the project would enhance the historic, wooden, landmark by allowing visitors to travel more quickly across the iconic promenade.

Best comment - Ocean City Police Department

Our horses are so excited about this. Trotting up and down the Boardwalk all night is EXHAUSTING!

Today's Useless Fact of the Day - Instead of "once upon a time," Korean fairytales usually start with "In the old days, when tigers used to smoke."
