What's the healthiest fruit?

While all fruits are healthy, registered dietitian nutritionist Danielle Crumble Smith recommends one nutrient-packed fruit in particular – wild blueberries.

Blueberries contain lots of fiber, which keeps you fuller for longer. They also rank among the fruits and vegetables with the highest antioxidant content. Antioxidants prevent or delay cell damage.

Does the high amount of sugar mean fruit is bad for you? Absolutely not, says Crumble Smith.

"Fruit has so many vitamins, minerals, fiber, water and other nutrients that our body needs," she says.

In fact, fruit can combat the afternoon slump when most people reach for another cup of coffee. Because natural sugar is a healthy source of energy, pairing fruit with protein will give you a similar boost you’d get through caffeine.

Those with diabetes, be mindful of portion size or try to pair your afternoon raspberries with a protein, like yogurt or cheese.

There's a chain on social media where people are talking about the "little things" that make them "irrationally angry."

And let me just say, when it comes to being minor annoyances, we can all finally agree on something.

Here are the best ones . . .

1. When the motion sensor on a paper towel dispenser doesn't work.

2. When people speed up when you signal a lane change.

3. People who B.S. an answer instead of admitting they don't know something.

4. Headphone cords getting snagged and yanking you AND what it's caught on.

5. People who don't pick up after their dogs.

6. Social media "pranks" that are just people wasting food.

7. People cutting in line . . . or letting several of their friends cut in line.

8. Someone who won't text . . . who calls . . . and leaves a vague voicemail, like saying, "Call me back, I need to talk to you about something."

9. Or . . . getting texted "Can I ask you a question?" Please, just ask the question. It's annoying when you have to say "yes," and then wait on the eventual question.

10. People who don't return their shopping carts at grocery stores.

11. YouTube recommending videos that don't start with the first one of a series.

12. When people tell you to do something . . . AS you're already doing it.

13. The buzzing of a fly's wings.

14. When you take a bite of a sandwich and all the fixings slip out the back.

15. When people talk in baby voices.

Dictionary.com just added 313 new words and terms, including a bunch of slang terms you might not be familiar with.

That includes two new terms that involve CAKE.

Here are a few of the more interesting ones . . .

1. Cakeage. A fee charged by a restaurant for bringing your own cake. So like a "corkage" fee for wine, but with cake instead.

2. Cakeism. It comes from the term "have your cake and eat it too." It's "the false belief that one can enjoy the benefits of two choices that are in fact mutually exclusive, or have it both ways."

3. Digital nomad. A person who works remotely while traveling for leisure, especially when having no fixed, permanent address.

4. Nearlywed. A person who lives with someone in a life partnership, sometimes engaged with no planned wedding date.

5. Hellscape. A place or time that is hopeless, unbearable, or irredeemable.

6. Northpaw. An athlete who is right-handed, like a pitcher or boxer.

7. Rage farming. Provoking people by posting inflammatory political stuff on social media, hoping to get angry responses and go viral.

8. Cyberflashing. Sending pictures of your junk to strangers online, or by Airdropping them.

9. Cli-fi. Short for "climate fiction." It's any sort of sci-fi where climate change is a major part of the story.

10. Petfluencer. A person who gains a large following on social media by posting entertaining images or videos of their pet.

Today's Useless Fact of the Day - John Chapman . . . a.k.a. Johnny Appleseed . . . didn't plant apple trees for people to eat. He planted them so people could make alcoholic cider.
