The Quest for the Summer Song of 2021 continues, and it's all but written in pen for this year. BTS "Butter" 10 weeks at #1, with Olivia Rodrigo "Good 4 U" at #2 again.
And Butter has a new remix. Megan Thee Stallion and BTS have teamed up to remix the K-pop group’s chart-topping hit.

However, the surprise collaboration almost wasn’t allowed to be released by the “Savage” rapper’s record label, 1501 Certified Entertainment. According to legal documents acquired by Variety, Stallion submitted a petition against 1501 and its CEO, Carl Crawford, on August 24, claiming that they prevented her from dropping the remix.
“[Megan Pete is seeking] emergency relief from the Court before this Friday, August 27, 2021, to allow her new music to be released this week as previously scheduled,” the documents stated. “If Pete is not allowed to release a new track this Friday on which she is the featured artist in a remix with BTS of the song called, ‘Butter,’ her music career will suffer irreparable damage, including a devastating impact to her relationships with her fans and with other recording artists in the music industry,” it added.
Thankfully, a Texas judge ruled that Stallion is now permitted to drop the remix of BTS’s “Butter.” Stay tuned while we wait for the official debut of the artists’ track, which is slated to release on August 27.
