St. Skeletor's Day - a day for all those who didn't have a date or get any flowers yesterday on Valentine's Day, and is basically the antithesis of that day. It was created in 1998 by British comedian Richard Herring. He has said it is "a day for all the lost souls who don't have anyone to love," and that it is "devoted to the destruction of love." He asked, "Do we need a day for lovers? Isn't every day their day?"
Yes, the day is named after the villain in He-Man and the Masters of the Universe - Skeletor! It's certain that he never celebrated Valentine's Day.

Don’t want to be alone next Valentine’s Day? Get on the dating apps.
There's a new dating app called "Score" . . . and that isn't just a reference to landing a date. You must have at least a 675 credit score to use it. It's a dating app only for people with good to excellent credit, and it hopes to help "raise awareness" about the importance of finances in relationships.
And yes, they do a soft credit check to confirm.

A kiss is just a kiss. Or is it? Here is some folklore.
For good luck in gambling, kiss the cards before the game begins.
To protect yourself from lightning, make three crosses in front of yourself and kiss the ground three times.
In some areas of England, it is believed that a newborn will be influenced later in life by whoever gives it its first kisses.
If you drop a piece of bread on the floor, kiss it when you pick it up to avoid bad luck.
Danish custom says that it’s a bad omen when the first person you see in the morning is an old woman. Should that happen, you must kiss her to avoid bad luck.

"The Washington Post" did a big story on how the ANTI-Valentine's Day movement is picking up steam. 3% of Americans planned to buy merch, like anti-Valentine's Day t-shirts. Esty saw a 14% increase in searches for stuff like that this year.
One T-shirt says - "Love Is in the Air . . . Try Not to Breathe".
For what it's worth, a big poll this month found only 17% of us enjoy Valentine's Day more than an "average day." 22% said less.

Katy Perry is probably leaving "American Idol" after the upcoming season. She's been a judge since 2018, so this will be her seventh season.
On Monday night's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!", she said, quote, "I love 'Idol' so much. It's connected me with the heart of America. But I need to feel that pulse of my own beat."
Katy also reminded Jimmy that she'll be performing in Brazil at the Rock in Rio festival in September, and hinted that she might have new music coming soon.
"American Idol" Season 22 premieres Sunday at 8:00 p.m. Eastern on ABC.

So-called "candy salads" are going viral on TikTok . . . but they're just a modern spin on the random candy dish that everyone's grandma used to have sitting out. Just open, loose, mixed candy in a dish on the coffee table.
so like Chex mix or a bag of granola.
(warning, you will get the sugars just by watching this. not doctor recommended)

Today’s Useless Fact of the Day - Less than 1% of people in China are left-handed. At least, that's how many people admit it. It's considered a biological flaw in China if you're left-handed, so people won't admit it, and they train themselves to do things with their right hand.
