Do you sleep with the TV on??? You might not want to, or at least have it on a timer.
A new study in Austria suggests falling asleep with the TV on might be messing with the quality of your sleep.
Doctors scanned people's brains while they slept, and found that hearing unfamiliar voices, like actors on a TV show can trigger something called "micro-arousals."
That's when you almost wake up, and if it happens too many times, you can end up groggy the next day. Familiar voices like people you live with didn't do it as much. Only unfamiliar voices had a big effect.
It also didn't make a difference during REM cycles, or deep sleep. It only mattered during non-REM sleep. But a full night's rest is only about 20% REM.
They think it's our brain's way of protecting us while we're sleeping because any unfamiliar sound could mean there's a threat nearby.

It's not quite a gingerbread house, but Target is selling a Valentine's Day cookie house kit for $8.00. Its a Sugar Cookie house, that also comes with icing and candies for decorating.
For what it's worth, the box says the finished house is 130 calories per serving or 2,600 calories if you eat the whole house. (what is the calorie count if it's not completed and you just eat the parts??)

A TikTok user figured out the best starting work for Wordle. Crvlwanek is the user and he decided to put that theory to the test by going through Wordle's entire word list and creating a custom script program to use frequency analysis on each letter. Each word was also scored on the frequency of each letter and then an optimal starting word was chosen from the data. the word that he found is the best.."later."
You could always do what Rayn does, he posted on twitter "I do FARTS because if the word is ever FART and I get it on the first try it will be the best day of my life."

Students, leave your pencil sharpeners at home because the SAT test is now shorter, simpler, and digital. Questions will also be worded more simply, and students can use a calculator for all math problems. College Board, the nonprofit that puts out the exam, said the changes are aimed at making the SAT more relevant and addressing concerns from schools that low-income and minority students too often score lower, hurting their chances of getting into college. The nonprofit attempted similar changes 20 years ago but got pushback from colleges.

Today's Useless Fact of the Day - Since we are talking about Wordle, how many 5 letter words are there?
The answer depends on the dictionary. According to Free Dictionary, there are 158,390 words with five letters. Volume 6 of Office's Scrabble Dictionary claims there are 8,996 available words with five letters while other sources claim that there are only 5,350 words that you can create with five letters in word games.
